Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I wouldn’t be hanging my hopes on AI. I think we need to build stuff. I’m worried by how it’s dropped out of Starmers mind seemingly, I guess because the same people that have stopped every other politician from taking on planning reform have stopped him too.

Thought he looked a lot better alongside Fadz, I’d rather we got an organiser and winner in than a raw kid.

Didn’t they have this argument with snippets? I think the source links underneath will become important from both sides. I think their defence before was people clicking through. Legally it’s a really interesting question. I think the theoretical economic incentives and huge amounts of cash...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Richer people can 100% be taxed more. Wealth can be taxed better but it’s all locked up in housing so it goes straight to “Granny in £1m London flat she’s lived in all her life can’t afford to live there”. Economically correct, morally correct especially in a small country, but politically...

It’s not that simple though. A lot of the cuts over the last 14 years haven’t actually saved money. The police station closures, failures to hire teachers/doctors because of the wage freeze leading to more locum/supply pay. Lack of investment in infrastructure leading to anemic growth. I think...

Just started Pantheon. Not sure what it’s on I’m watching a dodgy copy. Sort of western anime about artificial intelligence. Kinda enjoying it but not sure if because I’m into AI and also anime or if cos its any good.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Fiscal rules are pure politics. Labours is extremely vague “moving towards” and “by the end of five years” a lot. The idea it’s going to cause austerity is a nonsense. For a start there’s nothing left to cut. But also austerity doesn’t actually save money. It’s just the normal boring “everyone...

How so? Reeves will have trouble meeting her spending goals through austerity as the Tories found out. It’s not cheap.
