I have to say, there are questions to that article that it looks like Les didn't bother to ask...shame, he could have called them "exclusive" as well... ;)
And before anyone starts, the answers could be even more damning to CCC, or not.. Won't know without the answers

eg I would be interested in timings of some of these discussions, and, how many of the 17 points could be agreed? Is it really nought? What is the cost effect of the difference if it is higher than that?

Would have been nice to have comments Questioned, that's all. You know, the same as if it had been CCC Les was talking to... ;)

I agree, things have never looked so bleak, also think during everything that's gone on,
SISU will have always had one eye on killing the club if necessary.
It really would be no skin off their nose, and the lower the profile of the club the easier
It is to do, they have already divided what fan base is left.

So they want to destroy the thing they put a load of their money in?? Are SISU secret Sunderland fans?

Their are too many protagonists involved in the decision making processes around the football club that have grudges with the owners. I thought initially that when Anderson was bought in it would be a fresh start from the clubs perspective as Timmy was out of the way. Obviously Anderson is realising that dealing with these council do-gooder's and with Wasps is like going in to bat with a stick of celery. Both sides have their own agenda and the council it would seem are thoroughly in bed with anything the wasps want to do. It beggars belief that Joe Elliot is a party to whats happening at the Higgs as far as the academy goes. Fuck the lot of em, I would rather take the club outside the Councils area of influence, and take CRFC with us and lets all go where we are wanted as long as its within 5 mile of the boundary PUSB
Wasn't Elliott up for closing the academy when he was here?

Does this all tie in with everything at the club being for 2 years?

If so that's either a very tight time scale to get it all done or leaves a period of limbo where we are going back to Wasps to stay a bit longer - but no incentive for wasps to improve terms at all.

I think that the article needs to be followed up with questions to CCC, CSF, Wasps etc

potential to have burnt some bridges by both sides I think

It would seem our club is under attack and there are enemies united against us, it would be nice if some of our fans could decide who's side they are on instead of applauding those who are inflicting near fatal wounds.

It's only a few drones on the Internet to be fair. Most people aren't so anti sisu to the detriment of the club that they would bite their own nose off to spite their face.

Edit: see the post below. Typing through angry tears. Suggesting the bloke who could be the key to helping our club leaves well alone.

Meanwhile people like the council and others are proven to to be trying to screw the club over and were before sisu were here but can get away with it because fans will blame sisu for anything possible.

Their pr must be so easy "its sisus fault", job done
SISU own the club, the council do not. ffs we could have bought the stadium fair & square,
But their ego won't allow them to do that, no they have to push & bully there way through.
They have poisoned Coventry City FC and condemned it to a slow death, I know nothing
of this Jon Sharp character at all, but if he's a genuine bloke, with his clubs best interests
at heart, he should stay the fuck away from these leeches, or they will become
Collateral damage.

Or not too far away, buy the slough. Not too much digging required to sink the arena in, load of car parking potential, good water supply for the pitch...

really worry about the future of the Academy but also of CRFC in all this

CCFC will come out of this battered and bruised but I am pretty confident about its survival

I also think we are in for new and yet more legal cases down the line

This is really alarming news. Wasps, higgs and the council are slapping highfives as they gangbang our club.

Not according to Brylowes. It's just "spin" apparently .

From a comedy spanner on the internet ,who thinks popularity is getting likes from people,
most of whom he will never even meet.
Do you not think the bad feeling toward our club is down to SISU and there actions.
Or do you honestly think that everyone just hates CCFC.
Why would anyone deal and seriously try to negotiate with someone who keeps dragging
them to court every five minutes. It's not like they ever win in court either.

Wait a minute, when did CCFC take higgs to court? What's that to do with the higgs?

Well CA has come into an ongoing war. Two Jrs still in the air and now a council block on football being played at The Butts. Wasps sitting in the stadium and taking over the academy centre. People like Mutton who has had his emails and comments paraded through courts and ethic comittees, now have power over the future of CCFC. Meanwhile the legal war still goes on. The bridges are still burning and CCC can now mount a counter attack. Trench warfare. Both sides destroying each other and nothing - absolutely nothing - gained.

All predictable. The court cases have annoyed powerful individuals in our relatively small city and we are now reaping the whirlwind from the wind that SISU sowed.

Wait a minute, I thought it was only SISU who had power over CCFC because they are the owners?

Other club's fans would be rioting of a franchise rugby club first moved into their stadium and then kicked them out of a academy centre.

What is it about the football club that the council despise so much?

KC is good but SG is good also they are both sticking up for their sides. Kieran for ccfc and Simon for the council. Shame really as Simon should be independent working for a paper

Posted a while back a load of posts I found on a rugby forum when I was looking for some details on Wasps history. It was all people saying we would be up in arms and wouldn't stand for it and that the locals wouldn't go to games.

The city is a laughing stock for the way we have welcomed them with open arms.

It feels like a battle between two middeweights - CCFC/SISU vs WASPs/CCC - and on face value, it literally looks like they've each got a propaganda machine trying to spin who you should support.

I've always hoped the papers would try and stay neutral, stick to the facts and call ALL stakeholders to task - but I don't think I can trust either Les/The Observer or Simon/The CT to give an impartial view. It's almost like reading the Sun or the Mirror during an election.

Maybe the notion of not 'biting the hand that feeds you' is relevant here...

In a way this is almost better though, because at least one can cancel out the other.

An impartial objective newspaper is an utter myth, anyway.
