Sheffield Utd had a bid of 300k turned down by Bury for Clarke...There is no chance we will pay more than that for him

Mowbray must be using the £££ in another direction, surely?
That's what the CT are saying having spoken to Mowbray. Purely a footballing decision. Good money for a player with only 1 year left on his contract.

If its Mowbrays decision as he wants to use the money elsewhere I don't have a problem with it. If its not then its a very different story.

Like I say though Dave, with the wages we've already dropped, why the need to sell in order to buy

All I'm saying is just wait, people are spitting there dummies and don't know what's around the corner.

For all we know we could sign a player a day next week

If we sign a player a day for the next 7 days, that's probably the minimum case scenario that will put us in a position to be able to compete. You and I both know that it's simply not going to happen though.

So many good first team players have left the club, now we have another one added to the list. We are so weak it is unbelievable.

This is annoying but we need to see what Mogga does with the money.

If it comes to the Swindon game and we've signed nobody or just a few average players I'll be annoyed. People saying daft things like they're asset stripping or Mowbray has no money to work with are being ridiculous. One, Mowbray would not be here if he had no money to work with, two, you don't sign someone like Jones for 6 figures on a four year deal when selling off assets.

Gonna have to carry on being patient.

I actually do not care if we go in to admin now. I'd actually like it to be shot of SISU. Only last week Venus was promoted to the board and we all said it would be good for the football side of things. Then this happens. He also said that he didn't want to sell players if it had an impact on the team.

I'd rather we were playing in the Conference and felt like this club was ours. It feels nothing like the club my dad and uncles brought me to. Nothing like the club I travelled around the country watching with friends as I was at school.

Our owners have given up. I am too. I'll still support the manager and players that pull on the sky blue, but it's hard to say I support the club when it doesn't feel like a club. The management is rotten. They say one thing and do another! It all makes sense though, that Mowbray interview where he said we will have to sell a player or two. Who knows, maybe even Stokes could leave yet!

Mowbray is in a lose-lose situation I think! If someone came calling for him I wouldn't begrudge him a move!

(Sorry for the rant guys but I'm totally angry!)

He scores goals. That's what we need. Him and Sordell would be probably the best attack in the league. Granted we need a replacement for vincelot but I don't think he's irreplaceable

We had a really good midfield. JOB, Fleck, Vincelot, Maddison.

Add the defenders that we've lost. Why do we need to lose all these players to fund Leon Clarke? It isn't worth it.

Ivor Lawton can play the role of tough-tackling midfielder but he's out till September and is very inexperienced. McCann can probably fill that role as well if he ever actually signs.

But still, what a fucking depressing pre-season this has been. I haven't even bought a season ticket and I want a refund.

I think you're speculating about Mowbray's motives to stay far too much.

There's more evidence of players being off loaded than recruited. So I totally don't think it's a daft thing to say.

I love your optimism and sky blue tinted glasses, I'll have a pint of what you're on!

PMSL Sisu lovers enjoy . Watch them destroy this club. Nobody in the City will do business with them , I think they will just cash in as much as they can from now on . they have NO intention of taking us forward.

Flush out your headgear Bruce, there are NO sisu lovers.

He is not the messiah people think he is.

Martin went. Where is his replacement? And the other defenders we need to replace Reda, Stevens, Turner, Cargill?

Shouldn't be sorry mate. You're only saying what the vast majority think but haven't got the bo**ocks to say for fear of attack on this forum.

In my view this is simply a case of MV saying to TM, we've had an offer for Romain, do you want to keep him or do you think you can get better for the money? TM has decided he can, let's see if he's right.

Wonder how much a week we are saving with no

Thomas
Fleck
Reda
Martin
O,Brien
Vincelot
Fortune

And yet they said we still needed to off load.

I can see us having swords playing squad than Blackpool. I think we're neck and neck for having the worst owners! They both love a bit of legal action!

Probably the biggest transfer gamble we've made since the Richardson days. Vincelot is undeniably a top player at this level, so if you're going to sell him a fortnight before the season starts (to a divisional rival!) then you better have a pretty good plan in place. And I don't count throwing money at Leon Clarke as a good plan.

But had we got rid of 14 players?
Yes, a fair few

Nouble
Jackson
Al bangoura
Barton
Miller
Pugh
Turgott
Webster
Miller (1st sept)
Swanson (1st sept)

Plus loans
Prostwich
Samuel (although injury meant he left earlier)
Odulusi
Ward
Pennington

Complete joke. I don't even know why I'm surprised he's gone.

I really fail to see how the team is building for a positive season with the players that have left. The squad is so weak it's untrue.
