I'm sure he was... would of been a pay increase.

There no loyalty in football now so nothing new and it's a short career if you make it, if he goes then I'm sure he would of discussed it with his family and representatives and decided the next challenge is needed in his development.

He's not yet ready to play week in week out and a luxury we cannot afford in this league and is not suited to the majority of league one football.

It's not coincidence that the top 6 places in this league are full of northern teams largely based in Lancashire and Yorkshire where they still play direct physical football.

I doubt he knew anything about it at the time, the deals that go through that you hear about from us at least tend to happen very quickly. IIRC Thomas, Bigi and Madders all said that about their moves, like they came in one morning and were told "You're off to X for a trial/medical".

Besides, it's only up to him if we allow Liverpool to talk to him. We are perfectly capable of saying no. I wouldn't blame a 19 year old kid for wanting to play in the Prem, nor his seemingly shitbag agent for pushing it. The club are supposed to be the ones looking after the club's interests, not anyone else (why do I find myself posting this repeatedly these days?)

What's this nonsense? Strikers in the championship and the premiership are even more athletic than this level. The physicality of the game isn't weaker the higher you go, the game is just played at a quicker pace.

I have to disagree with you. At this stage of his development harries doesn't need real bruisers with more brawn than brain to play against. Yes the athleticism may be greater at premier league level but also styles of play and forward mobility are hugely different. Whilst you do get players like Andy Carrol they are less frequent in higher leagues than they are in l1 and 2.

I'm sure an agent would be involved to get a %,
what about someone brokering the deal, to get a %?
& what about someone managing the deal to get a %?
I'm sure the details will remain undisclosed.
Personally i smell a rat, it's well overdue for a level of clarity on transfer dealings.
Ooh don't say that the FA/FL might be offended.
Fucking ash trays on motor bikes, both of 'em.

Least it wasn't hi tek

Don't see the harm in Adidas world cups, know they are decent if they have them.
Umbro is British (albeit with a yank parent), should be worn by the home nations rather than American or German brands. New Balance the same.

You can't blame Cian Harried for being interested in this and to some extent the club.

But we need a better return on our youth talent, from first team appearances 2 years minimum and better up front financial returns (rather than gambling on add ons).

A million up front and a host of unobtainable add ons is nothing to a Premier Club. Cain, remember you will also be nothing to them in 12 months time while they keep buying first team ready players.

Many top players have successfully developed at lower levels before the big move. Playing at the highest first team level possible is best for your development. Move when you are signed for the first team.

I predicted that Harries would be a star in years to come, but I'd have liked to have seen him shine in Sky Blue first. This is the hand we're dealt, in the grand scheme of things. I doubt we'll get more than a million for him, but anything less than that would be insulting.

Bloody Liverpool fans and press think he's the next Alan Hansen; oh yeah, pile expectation on the lad before he's even signed, pfft.

Based on that it appears Darren Anderton is available on a free.

Nowadays, I'd be surprised if Anderton's knees don't swell and buckle if someone says 'football' within 5 feet of him.

Wasn't Thomas labelled similar to Gerrard? I think it's a case of 'what position do you play?' 'Ok, (insert players name here) played there too. You must be so much like them. Sign here'.

Any midfielder who is defensive is like Makelele. Any midfielder who scores goals is Gerrard / Lampard! :)

Reading the write up about Cian harris and how he done quite well over 90 mins for Liverpool v Bangor? – this makes me angry particularly the money i have invested in this club over many years. I don’t want to hear or read this type of nonsense. I used to enjoy watching Cov v Liverpool as we used to be in the SAME LEAGUE - We have gone from going from head to head with Liverpool and sometimes having to sell the likes of Gary Gillespie (to Liverpool) for big fees to allowing our best players to go on trial which makes me sick to the stomach

This lad has played at league 1 level and so playing against Bangor should be a stroll in the park -What's the point of him playing against Bangor in the first place.

To rub salt into the wound why are the telegraph writing up reports and encouraging our future stars to leave shouldn't they have a news Black on this type of reporting. WE WANT TO KEEP CIAN We also want to keep Stevenson and wanted to keep Maddison and that type of player and get back in the premiership for where a City of 400,000 population belongs -

Come on guy's, if you had a job and one of your competitors asked you to go and work for them and they will triple your wages and other perks, doing the same job. You wouldn't see my ass for dust !

And don't talk about loyalty, MONEY TALKS ! :wacky:

I thought he'd just returned. And isn't he a left back more than a CB?

Left footed centre back who can play left back but favoured position is centre back. His loan is due up in January not sure if it's extended yet

The Nuneaton manager said he wanted to come back to impress the new manager at Coventry. He played for the U23s against Birmingham the other day.
