Well maybe we do ;) but this thread is for the minute, tiny little things that get your back up about Cov or football in general, I'm talking minor things that probably wouldn't annoy anyone else in the world so not like "SISU".

Mine is Burge, kicking the post, he does it constantly, like 250 times a game and every time he does it I want to back hand him ! I'm not even sure why it annoys me so much ! I'd understand it if it was to genuinely clean his boots but it seems to be a bit of a tweak for him.

Another one is fans thinking they're a better fan than another because they go to more games. There's two fellas that sit behind me that constantly spent the entire game saying "he wasn't here last week", last year when we were playing well it was a nightmare "look at them look, over there, their not here every week, only turn up when we're winning" they spend more time discussing how many folks are at the game than they do watching it !

So what annoys you lot ?

Pre match handshakes between the players.

Pre match huddle between the players.

Winning a throw in, nobody wanting to receive the throw, throwing it in and players acting like its a hand grenade & getting the hell outta there!

Short corners.

Refs

Linesmen all having bizarre running styles.

Orange response stewards - namely when they search pensioners bags like seagulls in a chip wrapper!

'Game Management' ie cheating.

It really annoys me when people who don't like football still turn up to games just to purposely cause trouble and ruin the game for everyone else................

Fucking Referees!

People who think Leicester winning the league was a fairy tale. They cheated their way out of paying for their stadium using administration sending local businesses bust then spent hundreds of millions getting out of the championship completely disregarding FFP. Yes winning once they got their was impressive but if they behaved in any decent manner before they'd have been nowhere near the league let alone win it.

Seriously though,
The 2 things that annoy me the most at the minute are
1) When somebody blatantly puts the ball into tough and then trys their utmost hardest to convince the ref/lino it's their throw/corner!
2) When a lino is 10 yards behind play and doesn't truly know, but gives offside anyway because the attacker got to the ball first! Happened all the time with Arma and Murphy last season!
Boiled my piss!!!

It's human nature to bitch and moan when things aren't going well and to be quiet and contented when they are going well. Ever thus it has been, and ever thus it will be. The only strange thing is that people are continually surprised by this.

One thing that did get my notice this weekend were the cup games that were chosen on TV. Aside from the Cambridge game, I would have liked to have seen more TV time given to the minnows for whom getting to round 3 is a feat in itself, instead of the likes of United, Man City, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal having the live coverage, but, then, maybe that's just me....

As someone who lives outside Cov the most annoying thing is the constant inane conversation i have to have with anyone who casually asks which team i support.

"Whos your team?"
"Coventry City"
"Oh...... whys that then?"
"Its where im from"
"You don't sound like a brummie?"
"Well i wouldn't would i considering im not from fucking Birmingham "
"Eh?"
"Nevermind its not important "
"But do you follow Man City or Man U?"
"Neither i follow Coventry City"
"But.. eh?"
"Nevermind"

Either that or i just get "Cov eh, they were good in 87 weren't they. Sleeping giant. I remember some good away days at Highfield Road. Crying shame. Criminal."

Cov fans on twitter who claim to not care anymore about the club but always tweet about it. Usually they have moved onto supporting Wasps and say the football club could 'learn' from wasps. Yeah, that fucking grinds my gears.

We must follow the same people.

Yep let's move CCFC 80 miles, pick up a world class stadium on the very cheap! That'd be the Wasps way.

Anti Wasp ites on here who constantly put threads up about Wasps

I will add to that, fed up with what seems a constant Wasp fest either for or against.
What else-
People watching football in my local wearing Man Utd, Chelsea, Leeds (?) tops.
Being asked why do you support Coventry City by the above, I was born there a goal kick away from Highfield Road, what is your connection to Manchester or West London? Usually shuts them up.
The events off the field looming large over what happens on it at CCFC.
Watching old you-tube clips of city beating Villa 3-0 then googling the league positon and seeing that we went 5th in the old L1, followed by realising we stuck in a relegation fight in the old Div 3. and are thoroughly shit.

Clapping the subs warming up
Clapping a simple cross field ball
Clapping a simple header back to the keeper (secretly love that one)

The amount of foul throws in professional football. It's a simple action and yet people who are paid to play the game cannot do it properly! Refs let it go too yet on a Sunday morning they are all over it like a tramp on chips!!!!

I also hate sitting next to fat people at games that take up half your seat and think they're funny!

Shepherding the ball out: it's just obstruction.

Not giving foul throws.

"High feet": the game is called football

People who shout "forward!"

Kids who kick the back of your seat or sing shit songs at inappropriate times in a high pitched voice.

People who spot their mate across the ground, always with a shitty nickname, then spend five minutes shouting at them.

I hate sitting next to people who are opinionated and shout obscenities at players and officials, mostly they sound like jibberish and for some reason come to games as a poor mans Liam Gallagher impersonator
