Coventry City (4-2-3-1): Reice Charles-Cook; Sam Ricketts, Aaron Martin, Ben Turner (55 mins, Aaron Phillips), Chris Stokes; Romain Vincelot, John Fleck; Ryan Kent, Jacob Murphy (64 mins, Gael Bigirimana), Jim O’Brien (81 mins, Ryan Haynes); Adam Armstrong.

Team that day we went top of the league, 21st Nov.2015, heady days indeed.

Wow!

You look at that side then and then this side now and it's like the difference between Poundland and Fortnum and Mason's.

If we go behind we won't win, a lot of pressure on us and not sure our players have the mentality to cope. Team selection will be interesting still not convinced Russell Slade has a clue on his best team or formation, Willis is back should help a bit

Would expect a Willis/Clarke combination, unless he once again decides to put Willis at right back.

Hope not. You want your fullback to at least help and support the attack on occasion and Willis is pretty much useless coming forwards with the ball past the half way line.

Thought Willis got 4 games as his appeal failed which give you an extra one game ban?

Stevenson is annoying if Slade don't fancy him. We really should have sold him. His value will not increase if he is playing especially after we are relegated.
Money should have been took and handed to Slade for CarltonCole

Turnbull looked good on Tuesday night, in fact it was possibly the best I have seen him play for us. Clarke also did well. With Willis coming back, I'd put them together in a back 3, with DKE as wing-back (another who played well against Wimbledon).

The feeling in the away end on Tuesday was that Haynes was unlucky to get dropped and that Bigi is being wasted, so I'd freshen things up by bringing them in too. Reilly was one of our better players against Wimbledon and Kwame showed some promise too, despite being wasted on the left of midfield. Also, the concsens was that Jones needs to be starting games, and he certainly justified that in his performance. I'd give him a free role in front of two holding players to run at the oppo.

Therefore, it's back to wing-backs:

-------------------Burge

-------Willis-----Clarke---Turnbull
DKE--------------------------------Haynes
-------------Reilly-------Bigi
---------------------Jones
------------Beavon-----K Thomas

This is a flexible line up as we could go to be back 4 with a number of combinations (Turnbull to LB, Willis to RB, etc). We can also convert to a midfield 4 if needed with Jones and one of the wing-backs going to either flank. Yak probably not fit to start but bring him on for Beavon early 2nd half.

Wouldn't be against that at all.

Think this is a pretty good call.

Not a single one of those likely to start tomorrow, and only two of that XI still at the club (with a combined 13 league appearances all season - all RCC).

Shame on the people running the club.

If beavons fit, id revert back to the formation and set up we deployed verses wycombe.

Haynes willis clarke DKE

I'd start Reid and Jones on the wings. tudgay in behind beavon and have reilly sitting in midfield.

Leaves us a few options on the bench to make a change as well.
