What's the big deal? If I take a chance on predicting every game on a particular outcome then that's the chance I take. There's been many weeks where I've scored bugger all and others have trashed me. It's called playing the system. I don't use betting shops or casinos because I don't gamble, but if I did, you can rest assured that I would try my damndest to beat the system. All's fair in love and war, I say! x x x
(p.s) It took me a lot of time and effort to come up with a winning formula in the pred. leag., so if I win, it worked. If not, hey, ho!

No-one is making a big deal about it. You are free to use any technique you want. But now we figured out what you did, we can all do the same and match you every step of the way.
That's great!! If you match me every step of the way to the run-in, I can't possibly lose! Cheers! x x x x

If I hadn't missed so many games I wouldn't be 10 points or whatever it is behind him. So I have to disagree.

And like I said earlier you go mainly for draws. You are not the only one who does it. Would you be moaning if your method had you in the lead? Duchman does well off your system each year.

Roy Keane... promotion from January to May? Sure??

it would be a decade ago now so probably forgot alot but i remember keane taking sunderland from bottom at xmass to promotion

just googled it:

Keane's first two games as manager could not have gone much better; first coming from behind to beat Derby County 2–1, followed by an easy 3–0 victory over Leeds United. Sunderland began to steadily creep up the league standings under Keane's management, and by the turn of the year they had escaped the bottom half of the league. Five further players were signed during the January 2007 transfer window, three (Anthony Stokes, Carlos Edwards and Stern John) on permanent contracts and two (Jonny Evans and Danny Simpson) on loan from Manchester United, Keane's old club. Results continued to improve, and Keane was rewarded with the February and March Manager of the Month awards,[89] while his team began to challenge for the automatic promotion places. Meanwhile, Keane tackled his players' non-professional approach with a firm hand. When three players were late for the team coach to a trip to Barnsley, in March 2007, he simply left them behind.

Sunderland secured promotion to the Premier League – along with Birmingham City – on 29 April when rivals Derby were beaten by Crystal Palace.[90] A week later, the Championship title was sealed, and Sunderland's revival under Keane was complete. His achievements also earned him the Championship Manager of the Year award.[91]

so he took over after 4 consecutive losses but it was august/september so i got that bit wrong. hell of a run though and they were bottom for a while too.

also earlsdon made that quote up, not onkly did he get quote wrong but i wonder if i said it janaury or when mowbray left???. if someone could find it that would be great, because venus lost so many that come jabnuary i dunno if i would have been saying lets make playoffs. i know there was a point where we just 5pts off playoffs under venus after 4 wins from 5 so yes i would have said it and then of course and i bloody well would have been right too.

btw do you have a alarm that goes off everytime slade is mentioned? obsessed

I didn't make the quote up.

You were confidently telling everyone how you thought we would still go up after Christmas time. I'm not having a go, I always said I admired your optimism at the time.

The reality is Mr CCFC4LYF, your cocky statement about knowing the most about football has some flaws in it!

Ps you personally said to me before that "I should listen to you as your always right"
Embarrassing really, don't you think?
But we all make mistakes, it's how you hold your hands up after.....

However he was deemed competent at the point he was appointed. See the messiah thread.... didn't see any complaints from you and your superior vast knowledge of football as you consistently arrogantly advise us.
Now your either a sheep and follow the trend and opinions of others on here or have no idea about the level of football we're at and mainly watch match of the day...
I'll guess at both.
Me, I'll get in first say his cv was good enough to suggest it was on after previous successful relegation battles. However not every club is the right fit and this was that club.
While picking up the pieces from the last 2 clowns summer damage he shattered the pieces more and nailed our fate some what doing badly, yes badly! No shame here...
Ps... won? No chance lol clown!

Because we had slade and not a manager eho could get us promoted you dumb shit
Steve just admit you were wrong. Slade was mentioned.

Hold your hands up...

When someone says 'admit you were wrong' as a killer blow in an argument, you know they're desperate.

We got relegated and didn't get promoted entirely because of Slade... You couldn't make this shit up.

It's usually a city shirt but have also ordered a polo in the past.

If you would prefer an amazon voucher for the value of a city shirt (if you win) then can just do that?

It doesn't pay to count your chickens before they are hatched.
All the leader has to do to win now is to forecast every result in the final week 2-1.

Great prediction league this season folks, finally managed to win it at 3rd attempt, looking forward to next one
Yup, very well done Cov George! After a great first half of the season, I tailed off in the second half, even forgetting to do a couple of weeks. Which is pretty reflective of a standard Cov season...
