How much does this revised much improved offer and hint of proposal of plans for fan ownership now crank up the motives for more serious sisu out protests for the last game tomorrow before a long summer?
Strategic?

Being cynical there, apparently it won't make a difference to people's feelings. ;)

It's a fantastic place for an intelligent, well-reasoned and polite exchange of views and information.
Are you sure you've got the right place?
So basically this is just another way of getting Hoffman and Elliot in the papers again as there are no ongoing talks or credible offer. Cheers for the false hope lads
Problem is you only have to look at social media to see many people are falling for the same thing again. Its all complaints about SISU rejecting the offer, SISU breaking commercial confidentiality (despite the fact its clear the leaks came from Hoffman's camp), the Observer being blamed for deliberately sabotaging the bid. Whats the saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

The thing I'm looking forward to after the takeover is being Anti-Hoffman however well he does.

Exactly...

Just before a match where the opposing manager expects it to kick off.

To be honest, I couldn't give a fuck on who's leaking what, or which newspaper gets the most clicks. Even if the timing is a bit deliberate to stir some shit up tomorrow too, I don't see how that is a bad thing. The owners need to be under as much pressure as possible at this point.

I want SISU out of the club because the way it's going it won't be around much longer, so if there is someone trying to buy it we should get behind it, not make snide remarks every thirty seconds.

Yes, it might not be the perfect bid for the club just yet, but it's a fucking start. Everyone should be getting behind this. That includes every single CCFC fan and his fish (pregnant or not).

People need more info to get behind it properly....

You have just said you aren't bothered if it's just being done to get a protest going, I'd prefer it was being done to actually buy the club and take it forward.

Would be foolish of anyone to think the timing was coincidental.
The thing to do would be to say:
"heres investors, heres proof of cash"
How do you like them apples.
That's the way forward. Put in a serious bid, show who the investors are and give proof of funds. Even better if they let the supporters know they have a viable plan and the backing to make it work.

Do that and I doubt there would be very many supporters not giving them their full support.

From that CT page it has this harbinger of doom in the sidebar - Coventry City takeover completed as Sisu get shares

COVENTRY CITY today announced that the club's £20 million takeover is complete.

Sisu hopes the announcement will spark the dawn of a successful new era for the Sky Blues...

..."We can now look forward to a great future and I believe we now have a young dream team in place, including Ray Ranson, the new manager Chris Coleman, SISU and ACL, all working together.

"I am personally over the moon to be on the board and working with such a visionary chairman who, I am sure, will ensure there are great times ahead.

"It is an incredibly exciting day. SISU have invested heavily and the future of the club is in very safe hands....

You know when you're watching a horror film and the kids on screen have no idea the murderer is right around the corner?

The Walsall manager is obviously part of the conspiracy. (Although he is expecting pigs and that was definitely last week). Maybe Simon has briefed him.

OR he has just used common sense and heard about it / been told about it?

Talking of conspiracy, it's amazing all those pigs got through the extra body searches wasps are insisting on. ;)

Which will come in time.

Right now it's a spin off and no one really knows what to believe or who to get angry at because the details are loose. That doesn't mean we should dismiss it.

In my opinion SISU don't deserve fifty pence for the club so my feelings on what they class as a reasonable bid don't come into it. I'm more than happy to hold Hoffman to account, but let's at least get to the stage where he has a say in the running of the club.

The fact is a bid has been made for the club, nothing else matters but our support for it at this point.

* They are clearly serious about buying the club anyway. Any protests they will try to formulate will be done to try and destabilise SISU so they can take it over, not just for a 'bit of fun'.

I have managed to stay grounded throughout all these fake rumours that have floated about the past few months. But after reading about this latest bid I can't help but get excited.... anyone else starting to finally believe this could be it?!

So according to the bloke who originally told us this rumour, the new bid involved a 7 figure up front payment rising to 25 million after promotions etc. This was rejected and talks are continuing. He seems more in the know than the press but let's see what's released later today

Is that the John bloke?

That sounds a bit more promising...

Nope. I won't believe it until its finished. I won't even believe it when it's in the telegraph. I won't believe it unless someone comes to my house and shows me the deeds to CCFC with their name, photo ID and proof of address. Even then I'll be sceptical.

Telegraph are getting better with there exclusives as they just released the very good and balanced article about the new improved consortium offer that went in this morning, However the new improved seven figure cash offer with up to 25 million add ons based on future success like promotions etc..... This new improved offer has once again been refused by SISU....The new offer included some fan ownership input but it was all turned down in the last hour.....There will be more dialogue between both parties.

All I'm saying is it's great news, if fans who plan or are staying away and want to see the back of sisu are behind the takeover need pack the Ricoh tomorrow and voice your opinion towards TF and co.
Your last chance to voice your opinion for months....

I think everyone is behind new ownership and SISU buggering off, I just think people tire of the childish antics in the press. This could be something or nothing, but we don't know as one paper makes it something and one makes it nothing.

After years of utter mismanagement and our desperation of getting rid of SISU, I for one feel a little tired at the local press fighting their own childish battle at the expense of our hopes and dreams and survival of our football club.

At this point in time we need a good decent hard hitting journalist who is fighting with us, not for their own personal plaudits.

As they say seven figure rather than an amount I'd say its £1m. Better but still a long way off what SISU will be looking for.

In my opinion SISU aren't going to be interested in anything that involves a big chunk of the payment coming years down the line if any success is achieved. You'd have more chance offering them £10m not and nothing later.

Hoffman has also offered fan ownership but it's nothing to do with the trust, who has he been consulting on that side of it? They would have been ideal with the pompey meetings etc.

Hoffman is a fan and wants to buy us, could that be his fan ownership?
