Scottish striker set to join the Sky Blues...

Coventry City can confirm that Marc McNulty has agreed a contract with the football club and will join the Sky Blues following the expiry of his contract with Sheffield United.

Striker McNulty, who is 24 and from Edinburgh, has agreed a two year deal with the Sky Blues.

Marc started his career with Scottish side Livingston where he scored 41 goals in 91 league appearances

The form of the 5 foot 10 striker led to a move to England with Sheffield United in May 2014. His time at the Blades has included loan spells at Portsmouth in 2015-16, where he scored 10 goals in 27 League Two games, and Bradford City last season.

Coventry City Manager Mark Robins said: “We are delighted to sign Marc, after beating a number of clubs to secure his signature.

“Marc is a natural goalscorer who is comfortable using either foot and he will be a real threat in front of goal for us.

“Goalscoring was clearly an area requiring improvement from last season, and I’m delighted to have been given the support to improve this area with a player of Marc’s undoubted quality.

“I will continue to work hard with Tommy Widdrington and the support of the Club’s board to identify and recruit the calibre of players which we need push for promotion next season.”

Nice to see we're getting business done early. It'll be good to start pre season with the majority of the squad in place.

Both experienced players for the league rather than Kwame Thomas.

In terms of strikers now we have:

McNulty
Beavon (if he stays)
K Thomas
G Thomas (sort of striker)

A world of difference compared to Mowbrays previous summers recruitment.

well we are in a different league now so approach will be different and targets maybe more attainable.

but i agree robins getting his man which is a good thing.

mowbray reached for stars and didnt get his targets. lef tus with a mid table team that venus and slade managed to get relegated

whos this Lincoln lad btw?

Good signing. Decent scoring record at this level and played at a higher level last season.

Amazing to be signing so many players before May is done. Robins just knows what to do at this football club.

Good work; glad to have someone join with ab it of age and experience but who is still not yet at their peak - hopefully we see his best years with us!

2 years as well rather than a 1 year and beating other teams to his signature, sounds promising if we get other players.

Has it been said about Doyles? Is that 1 year?
