Youtube tells me better than Messi

This looks a reasonable bit of business and a signing for the next few years.
Over 100 competitive appearances with 70 of those in the national league with Hereford and Telford. A good size in 6'3" and a player done his grounding climbing back up in his career.
A Widdrington signing on the looks.

Wasn't a winner that night though was he?

Oh, this one :(

He enjoyed his best game in a Cobblers shirt in last weekend’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena, and is performing so well that he is likely to keep his place alongside Zander Diamond this weekend, even though Ryan Cresswell is fit and available again. “Rod has had to play in a couple of big games,” said Town boss Wilder. “He played in the Newcastle game and he was outstanding, and on Saturday I thought the two centre-halves were really good, backed up by two really good performances either side of them.

He was decent for us and well liked by the fans. When Wilder first brought him in he was inexperienced and a bit nervous having come from non-league but playing alongside more experienced defenders he blossomed, probably due to Wilder's man management, and was very good in our title winning season. This season Page didn't even want to give him a chance and following his sacking Edinburgh seemingly didn't want to risk him either.

Hope he does well for you, he deserves it.

So for CB now we have:

Willis (if he stays)
Turnbull (but can leave)
Harries
Rodders
Stokes (if he signs)

Still need an older head I think.

Rumoured to be in the region of 300,000 .
We've signed
Doyle : league 2 winner
McNulty : playoffs with Pompey
McDonald : league 2 winner

The spine of the team , new keeper would be great

Absolutely superb business so far , how can you not start to get excited

Willis will be gone, got a year left so can walk for free if not sold now or peanuts in January when we will need to get a replacement. It's not good business sense to let his contract run down and he's very unlikely to resign or extend terms.

Interesting that Rodders can also play left back so I assume he's left footed? Spells the end of Cian Harries who rodders is the more likely replacement.

I also agree a experienced head needs adding to the back four. My money's on Scunthorpes Murfin.

I quite liked Nathan Clarke and believe he would have been that "lump" in L2.
He had a couple of bad games toby fayre, but the rest I thought he was solid.
