About time too!
Glad to see Westwood back and in the runs.

They've really let themselves down so far.

Worryingly only Javid and OHD are the only 2 under 30 in this side!
Not too much coming through the academy either.

Needed an opener and another middle order bat in the winter which they failed to do!

Very worrying do you know how far from fitness Stone is, I think they are two batters short now and the big three need to start scoring big Trott,Bell and Hain.

The stream is good I think it's from cric hq who my friend works for you only see the batsman and bowler plus the close fielders.

Watched some of the Yorks game on it very good quality!

All the counties have them only some show live streaming but ECB website shows the ball highlight of every 4 6 wicket and landmark from every game minute by minute.

I think Stone was end of August hopefully it won't re occur.

You see players like Rankin breakdown time and time again, surprised they've preserved with him.

Him and Porterfield should be got rid of, I would like to have seen better winter signings and was disappointed to see Chopra go.

Agree with Porterfield

Chopra wanted to go so not much could be done.

Missed out to Surrey on both Borthwick & Stoneman. Jennings turned them down to stay at Durham.

The pulling power the club once had has long gone!

Squads seriously old and weak and no competition for places which will be shown up in the 4 day game for sure!

Abysmal start in the 4 day stuff has carried on into the one dayers!

Keep electing to bowl first and keep going for over 300!

Today special shout out to Oliver Shannon Dalby going for 35 in an over!

Worst Bears squad for many a year!!

Really not sure how they'll do it not like football where you can get rid of the whole lot.

Most only have 2/3 years max left (Westwood, Bell, Porterfield & Trott) that's just 4 top order bats.
Ambrose & Clarke mid 30's.
Rankin injury prone
Wright knocking on.

Not much talent to build a squad around.

Poysden & Singh are 2 decent young spinners but Patel deservedly keeps them out those 2 and Hain are the only young bright hopes at the minute.

Complete mess.

And they are trying to sign Moen Ali

Not sure why he'd want to come back Worcestershire are in a better infield position than us, ECB pay his contract so salary no issue to either Ali or Worcester.

Plus Ali will won't be available to play much due to England commitments!

I read that he feels he has unfinished business here, they should be looking for players like Chopra and Wright good county players but not good enough for the international team.

Some decent players knocking around div 2 in the 23-26 bracket they should be looking at imo.

First class experience maybe not used to div 1 but better than chucking 4/5 teens in with next to no first class experience expecting them to all swim when unfortunately the majority will sink damaging their careers!

We will be playing against them next year at this rate, they seem to have lost interest on the field and are more worried about filling for international events.

Prophetic words indeed! Another heavy defeat and yet again a poor start batting wise particularly in the first innings when replying to 500+.
Yes we need to take 20 wickets but there is no solid base to build a decent first innings total.

Every game it's the same story especially with the bat, only Trott, Barker & Singh can leave this game with heads held slightly high.

The big hope that's Hain is averaging 8 this season in the 4 dayers says it all.

They need to stick with Hain, but they really need to get in two new openers the summer signing of Stone looks ridiculous.

No agree with Hain just meant it shows nobodies firing.

Nobodies doing amazingly well in the 2nd team either.

Lamb scored a few the other week but don't think he's ready.

They'll deservedly go down this season.

Too many players of the same level which is not good enough, they need to spend big on bringing in better players rather than trying to sign a poster boy in moeen ali

Think the only hope this season is the tried and tested ploy from many seasons ago - bat first, score 400+ and then bowl them out twice. Long season ahead unless something changes quickly.

More likely to bat first score 120 then the opposition rack up 500+ and then Warks bowled out for 80 second innings

Done well to limit Essex to 263 for 5 on a batting friendly day. A slight worry that Patel bowled most overs and took most wickets on Day 1. Just hope they don't post 400 odd by early afternoon and we are soon 50 for 7 in reply.

60 for 2 the big two need to bat long tomorrow and Hain needs to perform as well.
