There's nothing like the first game of the season. Walking up the steps and seeing the HR pitch in the sunshine for the first time in months.

I cannae wait until Saturday. It will only be my third game of the year so it'll be good to be back.

I understand why they've done it but I think the entry price for the game is high.

I don't know how many season tickets we sold in the end.

Didn't word that well, did I? Best first games of the season were always at HR for me. Though, to be fair, the Wigan game a couple of years back was exciting.

Ah I get you now.

My favourite used to be seeing the floodlights on when on the way to the ground. You could see the glow for miles. Loved the midweek games.

It baffles me that we now start the season in early August.
Most people I know take holiday in the first 2 weeks of August. You are easily losing a fair percentage of your fan base.
When it comes to losing the fanbase, this is the least of our problems.
Though having said that 'I am on holiday

£24 a ticket could work out well. Many will buy 6 and 12 match instead. And those of us that can't make lots of games because of life commitments don't mind paying a couple of quid more. Especially those of us that travel to home games. A couple of quid extra is nothing. The price of a ticket is only the 3rd or 4th most expensive thing when going to a game. Just the same as our hardcore away support. They don't find out the price of a ticket before deciding to go to an away game or not.

Those it will put off are the occasional supporter who lives locally but is on limited funds.

Of course the better we are doing and playing the more will go to games. But if we are playing crap and losing most weeks most would see a tenner being too much. You would struggle to give tickets away.

Find it odd that some people are predicting a crowd lower than the number of tickets already sold with a week to go.

You should come along. Make it 6786. Every little helps and all that ;)
If offered a free ticket maybe-won't be buying anything in the stadium though!:emoji_kissing:
