To which he'll reply 'Are you receiving me?'

A win at Swindon? Wake Up! Only the Mayor of Simpleton would expect that. A draw would be Respectable Street. I'd Like That, but would be Stupidly Happy with a win and the boys would be feeling Ten Feet Tall. But it's early in the Season's Cycle so a draw away would do. Hopefully we won't be coming away The Disappointed like we usually do. It could be a Complicated Game, but as long as our midfield isn't at Cross Wires and sitting too deep, we can get the attacking Rythm going like the second half Saturday, play the game on the Grass and strike Gold.

We don't have any players called Nigel.

Chris Marsden was a great player...still annoys me we weren't prepared to pay a paltry sum for him. His career after us speaks for itself. He was pure underrated class.

wasn't that the game on sky, and they missed the andy mutch goal due to technically issue ?

That 1-1 at home was the game Chris Marsden had a fantastic game and we played them off the park (not being sarcastic, but it was the biggest
1-1 thrashing think I've ever seen!)

I remember that as the one where the delays were so bad outside that eventually they let us in for a fiver cos we'd missed loads. Was still an enjoyable game though and Marsden was sublime. Was gutted when we didn't sign him up. If my memory is correct, Wegerle had a good match too and scored, no doubt benefiting from having a central midfielder feeding him who could actually pass the ball.

For me he ranked alongside Willie Carr, Denis Mortimer, Gerry Daly, Stuart Robson and Dean Emmerson ..some, of the best midfielders we ever had.

Not really. He didn't play in the top flight again until 6 years after he left us!

Quick question. Genuine. Seems a mission to find a radio station that either commentates the match or find 94.8. I've tried FM radio apps but they don't have 94.8 on. Can anyone suggest anything that works?

Not very intimidating and that carpet could do with a good clean too.

Was that his last game for us before we screwed up and lost out, and then spent the cash on one game wonder Sandy Robertson. :banghead:

Back to tonight, lets get at least a point!

Big Max starts, good to see Dion KE back in the fold.
Feel a bit sorry for Hyam as he played v well the first 2-3? games, has he been injured at all or just down the pecking order?

He was signed as development and then got his chance through injuries. Think he's 4th choice behind Davies.

Cool. Hope he keeps DKE out wide. I like that set up better away from home when we can counter quickly down both wings. Think it will help to balance the deep CMs.
Are you thinking it's 4-4-2? I think MR (unfortunately) is gonna play his usual 4-2-3-1 with Nazon just behind Biamou.
Would like to see it 4-4-2 though with Kelly in a slightly advanced position in the middle.

On a side note, Hussey is out for them, so that's one less goal to worry about, although seem to remember that Matty Taylor always scores against us?

My train gets in at 7.30, can someone help me on how long is the walk to the ground?
From their website......From the front of the station turn left onto Station Road. Facing the White House pub, head right onto Corporation Street.

At the traffic lights turn left onto Manchester Road. At the end of Manchester Road turn right onto County Road.

The entrance to the stadium is the second left. This walk should take approximately 10 minutes.

The County Ground is walkable from Swindon Railway Station and will take you around 10-15 minutes. Leave the station, cross the road and proceed up the road between the two pubs (Great Western and Queen's Tap), continue to end of road. Turn left, proceed along Manchester Road, through traffic lights as far as you can go. At the junction turn right. The County Ground is about 300 yards up this road on the left.

It's about half a mile. Go down Wellington Street opposite the station and follow Manchester Road past the bus station till it meets County Road.

Funnily enough I asked my missus to just get me a drink and she came back with some fizzy, orangey stuff.

I said 'What is this?' And she replied 'This is Pop.'
