I rest my case.....

Not really you said he's conceded two or three - it's 6 - and most games our keeper is rarely troubled.
It's you moaning about the performance not me

As a none season ticket holder who has missed only one home game I sadly did go today.
Fuck um not going next week!

Oh yer I'm on holiday;)
Gutted
I probably didn't phrase that too well. How about, 'But if anyone thinks that there are many non-SBT posting, non-season ticket holders who saw that and who would happily pay £25 on the gate to watch future home games, they are seriously deluding themselves.' I'll get there in the end.

He's done alright this season. He has got a great back four in front of him though.
His kicking has improved in resent weeks and he has been there when required.
Yes he does have a great back four which makes it harder to IMO when you are called upon so rarely.

Just find it so unjust that no matter what he does he gets criticised by certain posters for not catching the ball with his teeth.
He could save a penalty and it's "well it was a poor kick".

You need to look back on your posting history and you know I am right.
The other week you gave Doyle a 5 just because you think he is shit and cannot see past your bias.

No I just thought he deserved a 5

His kicking is massively improved
We were saying that at the game today. He was almost reaching the other penalty area

Because he is now kicking more down the middle then trying to reach one winger.

Some lazy playing against a physical team , they were first to the ball and made good tackles.

We need the duck back from duty as he mixes it up , far to one dimensional and lacking steel . Thank god we got a point we may just be thankful at the end of the season for that

That was a game crying out for someone like Stevenson to add a bit more creativity and pick a pass. Kelly and Doyle were wasteful with the ball, and with Jones marked out of the game for large periods we were desperate for someone else to step up. Although I do like the security of Kelly and Doyle, it stifles us going forward.

Barnet, much like Chesterfield, were for the taking and we're a possible 4 points worse off as a result of being too defensive minded I think.

Yeah not great apart from a clean sheet, and mentions for Grimmer and Biamou. Right substitution bringing off DKE but replacing him with Shipley?

But surely we knew that was their strategy.
They play this type of football against other teams with little success.
We need to be able to break them down and make them pay for being so negative.
That is the reason this is their first clean sheet in 11 games others have broke them down.
Well here's to next week PUSB.
Bit like England??

Knew four in a row would be a push. Better than a loss, gives us a chance to kick on now and put another 2/3 wins back to back.

We ain’t gonna win every game. I take it Duck is back next match?

Haven't read the general consensus on here but until 89 minutes it was the dictionary definition of a 0-0!

Lack of subs was poor!
Point fair and deserved and a performance that wont make many of anyone take note of the side or individual players!

Yep.

I am not at all too disheartened about today. Another clean and a point away from home. We win at home and draw away week in week out we'll be promoted.

At least two good things came from today’s game, firstly the new song for Doyle and Kelly to the tune of Earth, Wind and Fire’s September;

Ay a ay we’ve got Michael Doyle
Ay a ay with Kelly in the middle
Ay a ay they never give the ball away..
1, 2, 3, 4..

And for Jordan Willis and Rod McDonald;

Rod McDonald’s magic, he wears a magic hat and if you threw a brick at him he’d head the fucker back, his partners Jordan Willis and he would do the same and when we win league 2 we will sing this song again!!

Both well belted out by sections of the Sky Blue Army and no doubt will be belted out as the season goes on. PUSB

We should do a Jodie Jones song to the tune of the Clash's Janie Jones.

'We're in love with Jodie Jones woah.'

Only got the first line.

It needs work. ;)

As a complete aside which Tory MP is cousin of Brian Jones and brother of a member of Big Audio Dynamite?

Thought the Sky Blue Army were excellent today. A frustrating day, and we didn’t play particularly well, but the fans kept behind the team and applauded at the end. Good humour with the Barnet ‘band’, and pleased that we didn’t belittle Barnet (or Edgware, more accurately!) the town or the team. The pitch looked ok, but the players on both sides seemed to have difficulty keeping their feet. I think McNulty will be a good player for us, he was a little unlucky in the second half, and was a threat on a number of occasions. I know he needs to score more goals!

But how many points have we won from being that solid defensively?

I don't think we're too defensive minded, we just don't have many players that can unlock a defence.

It's a real shame about Tony Andreu, he would have been brilliant at this level and would have been the man to create something out of nothing on days like today.

Thought beavon would have been better option than Shipley

I just caught the game highlights on channel 5 and I think Colin Murray summed it up well calling it a bit of a stinker. He then went on to compliment us on our recent form.

Oh yeah, I'm totally not denying our solid defence has earned us many points. I just think that we could have kept a clean sheet and been more attacking minded. Barnet really offered nothing going forward today and we failed to capitalise. I think Stevenson would have been a good option, especially with Andreu out

This is what I want to see/hear more of, new songs as too many of our usual match day repertoire are dated to our current state and more importantly to the here and now. Let's have more songs supporting the players on the pitch with a few classics for good measure.

Jones marked out the game , teams know if they block him we are very average ,
Doyle lumped it forward vertualy every pass ,
Subs made far to late poor by robins ,
I cannot stand grimmer I think he is awful ,
Evans very average yesterday ,
We desperately need a goal scorer , how many had our front two yesterday scored this season ???
