Not at our best today, but to get maximum points was a bonus, particularly with Darlington losing and I believe Plymouth missing out on a bonus point. Still unbeaten and we now sit proudly at the top. Lots of injuries today and with the 'incident' in the crowd it made for a disjointed game. They were game opposition who defended very well and were maybe helped by some strange referring decisions. Several times it looked like we were certain to score, only to just fall up short. But it is scrappy wins like today that may ultimately win us the major prize.

On our game, ref was poor touchjudge-stand side should have stayed at home!

BS certainly had a game plan for Cov and played on it, Cov handling was poor and if it wasn't for James Stokes we'd be coming away with nothing today!

We go top but today raised more questions I'm sure Rowland Winter will be the same! Missed Dacres & Latu Makaafi in the forwards today! Looked a very bad injury to Pete White!
Not a bad time to have the next 2 fixtures coming up!

Good old session that was. What a game too. Fair play to the oppos as they made a fight of it ! We really needed Stokes !

Likewise.

I was impressed by BS they'd feel hard done by today!
Stokes was the difference, error ridden performance but 5 points onwards and upwards!!

Over 1700 there as well!

Lovely to have these little smile moments.

Hopefully the crowds will dwindle too.
Yes, something like karma. City are just about maintaining their promotion form and 0-0 yesterday could be a good point come the end of the season, Cov Rugby remain unbeaten and top of the league. And the other lot's plan for world domination is starting to creak at the edges.
Yes a little smile has crept in and not a bad weekend at all.

Would be brilliant for Wasps to have a dreadful season and for Cov to go from strength to strength.

Slightly off topic but a shout out to the Coventry Blaze who have seemingly put out their best team in years. The last 2 weeks they have beaten Sheffield 5-1, and last Sunday they beat Belfast 6-1. Two teams they couldn't beat for love or money last year. In Marc O Vallerand they have a real special talent, who looks like one of their best ever players. He got 2 not 1, goals in the first 30 seconds last week, and has scored in 6 successive home games. This Sunday we play our biggest rivals the Cardiff Devils, should be another big crowd, last week the start was delayed 15 minutes because of the big queues. With CCFC and Cov Rugby both away this weekend, all support would be welcome.

What about Coventry Wasps, are they away too?

Top v bottom this week with Cov away at Fylde, funnily enough I dont think it'll be Cov by a 50 point margin considering the form this season. Can see it being a 45- 30 sort of win!
Think they'll make 5/6 changes to rest players but also RW wasn't impressed with last weeks performance so a few others will get a chance to stake a claim to claim their position.

And the bonus points aren't for the differential in the scores, but upon how many tries you score, correct? That changes obviously if you are playing a top of the table rival, because they could themselves be picking up bonus points off you.

Basically points- win=4 draw=2 loss=0
Win,lose or draw but score 4 tries =1 point
Losing bonus point if you are within 7 points of the oppositions score.

So if you lose 35-28 but score 4 tries you'll get 2 points.

I fully expect 5 points tomorrow and next week looking at the table.
