I think our first decision will be to skip the Boro game , which we can watch on SKY I believe and do the Sunderland game. If people think walk ups will be silly numbers they are living in dreamland at those prices. Football is becoming a treat day out rather than a regularity going forward I’m afraid.

Guy at work was planning to go to Sunderland game with his family, it will cost £131 for the four of them before you add on other expenses. I'm not sure he'll be doing that very often.
There will be a big seconds market this season, lots of season tickets will be sold on when people can't make it. I know one person who can only make 4 or 5 games so will sell his ST to friends and family for the other games.

Should we get a result at Leicester, and a big signing/contract happens, I'd have suggested Sunderland at home sells out. That's not going to happen now.
Which bandwagon fan is going for pay £37 for a ticket? Will away fans from Birmingham/Sunderland/Stoke sell in their thousands at that price?
Equally, it now meals we'll be paying £37 for an away ticket at Leeds. That's a very expensive day out.

Jsb tickets are fine but the membership is now £50 - can't remember whether it was £25 or £30 last year.
The memberships are good for ST holders.

It's a shame if they are scrapped, plenty of people like yourself who can't make every game. Maybe DK wants people to get STs and the rest scrap for matchday tickets

I cant see many games at all unless were pissing the league, where more than 1000 people buy tickets for certain games
Those who did that the last few seasons seem to have bought a ST.
For me the average will be 18500 ST's, 3k away, 1k Pay on the day, giving us an average of around 22.5k. Which is still good.
If we start bothering the top 6 on a regular basis maybe stick another 2k on there

I mean I tend to agree the prices are too high , but some of our best attendances last season were at 33 a ticket .. 4 pound more will it hamper tickets purchased too much ?

Well clearly the bigger the price differential the more likely they are to do it
A £5 difference and they'd probably rather get the the loyalty points, but if a mate is offering a ticket for £17 then saving £20 is a no brainer.
Also with a much bigger pool of ST holders there may be more spares kicking around this season than usual, but yes, this has always happend to a degree.
The cat A attendances were disappointing last season, down on the previous season by some margin, but all changed when the Blues game came along.
Cat A prices have gone from £30 2 seasons ago to £37 and you wonder if this will be a bit too much for some, certainly as many of the casuals will have STs this year.
I’d just like to point out I’m not a bandwagon fan…. I had season tickets for 20 consecutive seasons, I’ve done around 68 different away grounds following City but as with lots of people circumstances change and I can only do what I can do at the minute.
That came with those games and the incredible run we were on. That has to be recreated to maintain that level of interest. If our signings turn out to be superstars and we are flying of course more people will try and find that extra money but if things flop then like fuck will they.

I can only speak for myself and even though it's expensive it's still manageable for the number of home games I can attend, and tbh I regularly pay >£5 for a pint these days so it's all relative.

I did laugh seeing it everywhere in Benidorm the other week. A fake Spanish beer, devised and brewed in the UK being sold in Spain. Mahou and San Miguel in Spain are far better than it.

I have to beg to differ, San Miguel yes but Mahou can be very lively and gassy. I’m sure all 3 beers are owned and produced by the same company from Madrid.
