Preston Haskell is in Casino right now chatting to fans.
Seems a very decent and genuine person.

I hope SISU take note, let's hope the administrator finds the Golden share quickly.

Is it just me then? See I was reasonably happy until this partnership business with Elliot & Hoffman. I don't doubt that their intent is every bit as good now as it has been in the past - but the past wasn't any rosier than the present...& the past is why & how we got here. What are they going to do differently to bring success? Or are they just hoping they can lose money hand over fist & Haskell will just keep putting the cash in?

Well SISU wouldn't deal with them, much as ACL won't deal with SISU; if the club is in administration, things are slightly different.

If they've actively encouraged Haskell to consider CCFC as an option, then i dont mind.

However, with them seeming to want to be at the forefront of his 'campaign', that does worry me.

Was it not Mr Elliott who brought SISU to our club, and was happy to hand over the reigns?

I'm speaking as somebody who has been burnt by a Hedge Fund in the past so I was never in favour of them-the "gameplan" seemed completely contrary to their usual business. But equally, it's not unreasonable to assert that SISU abandoned their stated plan after around a year-eighteen months of owning us. Their scurrilous behaviour since then has been ridiculous enough to consider as unexpected (Brody/KD for example!). I'll always respect Hoffman for the stand he took when he resigned.

I respect him too! And Ranson to a degree. Not sure i can believe his 'Carroll, Henderson, were lined up' story 100% though ;)

Their game plan NLHWC was to fluke a promotion and get out quickly. Clearly that did not materialise and as for plan B......well......there wasn't one. Thus we are in the position in which we find ourselves. The last few years, I suspect , has been about Sisu trying to find a way out with loosing face. So far as Elliott and Hoffman are concerned; I have no problem with them heading a takeover. They are both Sky Blue and that is enough for me to know that they will do everything within their power to bring about some success. I can't really understand all the hatred of Elliott. He stepped in to sponsor the team when they needed one and always appears to me to have the best interests of CCFC at heart.

Would even go as far as to say that Elliott is probably the last of a dying breed......a local business man trying to support his local club. How many examples of that are there around today?

I have sympathy for Elliott and from my brother having met him several times through work I've heard positive things about his passion and genuine love of the club; but he will always be remembered for the way he pleaded with fans to hand over their shares to SISU; doing a deal with the devil does not really endear you to people, y'know? I can probably just about forgive him, but doesn't it raise some concern about the sort of people he may attract to the club now?

End of the day Elliot and Hoffman are city fans trying to do what's best for the club. Getting SISU out

Again, agreed, but what if we end up with replacement owners who are ultimately just as bad as them?

Perhaps he was just duped like the rest of us. We don't know what Sisu told him of their plans but clearly they convinced him that they would be good owners.

The thing that really worries me about this whole thing is that we have heard that Haskill's fortune is £174mill. Now, it is going to take about 70mill. to buy the club plus the stadium. That will wipe out almost half of his fortune.

It is small change when it comes to the cash that will be needed for us to get off the floor and compete again. I just hope his dad decides he can spare some of his spare billions to help his lad out!

I cannot help but wonder why people are keen to see a partnership with Elliot & Hoffman. I too am skyblue through & through...does that mean I would make a good job of running it? My intentions would be good though. And if it all goes tits-up I guess I'll just walk away & leave the new owner up some creek without a paddle???
Elliot & Hoffman have form in this...not particularly encouraging form either IMO

I hear what you are saying my friend but I am prepared to give them another chance. None of us knew how this lot would perform and I am assumnig that neither Joe or Gary did. In that event I am willing to support them till they show me differently.

As OSB has stated many ,many times it may not be necessary to lock stock and Barrel ,yet still achieve good income without the oulay.
Personally at some point i would like the club to have it all ,puerly for the Connection we all crave ,I think it will come in the future ,after some proving period.

would love it to be tied into the trust who would represent all city fans in a season ticket holder /membership scheme.

Hardly. Neither have ever had any real influence. Especially the Hoff - and he resigned when he realised what twats SISU were.

IT would'nt take £70M.
Yes it would Wingy. £20 mill for the club......£10 mill for the Higgs share......£40 mill for the coucil's share. I might have those figures the wrong way round but at the end of the day that is the sort of figures that you would be looking at.

Erm aren't we 60mill in debt anyway? I don't get this well what happens if it goes wrong? Surely anything is better than current situation

Is liquidation better than the current situation? Is it not right to ask questions, keep an air of caution?
