My mate was in London last year and he said he met Rod Stewart in a pub. I've never met a rock or a film star but have shook hands with my hero Jimmy Greaves and had a pint with Bill Glazier in the Casino on a legends day. Any on here match my mate ?

My late father was a good darts player and he played and beat the likes of Jocky Wilson,John Lowe, and Cliff Lazerenko, when they were doing charity gigs in pubs in Coventry in the 80's. So in the darts world they were famous and my dad never tired of telling everyone about the time he beat the three legends !

Met the boxer Michael Gomez (google his fight against Alex Arthur) in a bar in Manchester before Hatton/Tsyzu.

Ian Beale's new wife (haven't watched Eastenders in years) was on the same flight as us to Vegas for the Hatton/Mayweather fight and got slightly perturbed by us calling her Cindy all flight.

Stood next to Jack from Lost (who is a lot talker than you think) in the MGM Grand prior to the fight.

Met Ricky Hatton in New York New York the night after his loss to Mayweather.

Met Peter Ndlovu outside KFC at the forum many years ago.

Was chatting to Ady Boothroyd on the train down to Wembley before the England/Estonia game and he was very knowledgeable about us and was a top chap! Following this I was very happy when he became our manager.

I forgot to mention I too have met Ricky Hatton. The ex landlord of the Crown pub on Windmill Road was into his boxing and knew Ricky well, and when he was on his way to some boxing do in Brum Ricky stopped off for a couple of pints in the pub,and I couldn't believe it when he and his entourage came in.As a boxing fan I got his autograph on a beer mat and had a brief chat with him,and he was friendly and a good laugh. He was small and stocky while his minders were huge blokes ! By the way he drinks Guinness !

When I was a youth, I met George Best, Ian Botham & Phil Bennett at the same charity footy match....3 legends autographs in 1 hit.

I also met Steve Coppell & Trevor Brooking at a charity golf match.

Damon Albarn bought me a pint in a Camden pub in 1994.

I made a massive tit out of myself when I met David Platt in a bar in Spain!

Got "stage fright" trying to have a piss next to a swaying drunk David Soul in Bury St. Edmunds pub urinal trough.

I've had a sweaty hug from Neville Staples !!

Jennifer Ellison once told me to piss off!

You sure Jennifer wasn't in the same urinal as you and David Soul, and just commented on your "lack of performance" ? :)

My Dad see's Sillett every now and then in a restaurant they both go to (not together!). Tells me he's always happy to talk about the club and still speaks very passionately, especially about the state things are currently in.

I just remembered another one........... Chris Tarrant. At the time he was on "Tiswas", he'd come over to Cov one saturday night and went to Mr Georges nightclub. I stood next to him at the bar for a while chatting and then asked him to give me a mention on Tiswas the following week. He said he would but he must have "forgotten"!

That sounds about right for Tarrant, I met him at some service station, opening thingy about 20 years ago when my mate was working for welcome break, he turned up in a lovely, dark blue, Rolls Royce, 15 year old Telethon Sweater, just out of bed hair and a shitty attitude.........he was a dick.

Met a few over the years through work when they've done some presenting or voice overs for us - Rob Gurney, Gordon Ashley, Shaw "keep em peeled" Taylor, Tony Butler, Nick Owen, Llewella Baily, Adrian Chiles, Tom Ross are the ones people would know. The two that stick out though are Jerome Flynn and Gary Newbond. The wife's done some charity work with Flynn, you couldn't meet a nicer bloke. Newbond (which may surprise a few) was perhaps the best of the lot - it was many years ago but he sticks out as he really went the extra mile during the job, never complained, always happy if we changed a scene, stayed all evening at a boxing event after we'd finished with him to hand out some prizes and talk to guests. But the one thing that impressed me was one day during a break in filming, he took our work experience kid to one side and spent nearly half an hour with him giving him some tips on how to get on in the industry, and even some contacts if he wanted to try and get extra work experience and his foot on the ladder.
