At a minimum these players will be off and need replacing: Not really replaced Fadz Binks (he’s on loan) Kelly CoH Godden So that’s 5 players who need to be replaced with quality there and we also need to bulk up the squad. So 8/9 players.

Kitching really struggled in the game yesterday. Binks came on and the whole dynamic at the back changed. He was calm, played out from the back and played precise passes. Kitching is a real mixed bag and lacks concentration at times.

He played against Wolves and Man U and showed how he can control the game. He’s under contract till 2026 so it will have to be a lot more than what was offered in the Jan window. At 26 if there’s a chance to go the Prem he has to take it. Of course I would love him to stay.

If there are bids for Sheaf this summer then yesterday added another £5m to his value because he can clearly control a game against a Premiership side.

Robins is a very measured guy. He knows today was the turning point where this new squad of players have realised they can compete with the best clubs in the country. It’s that belief that will be there for the promotion push next season.

Torp has been off form recently but yesterday when came on you could see his class. A proper pre-season with us and he will be class for us. He gets into good positions, tackle, progresses the ball, makes himself available, gets into the box and has a hell of a shot. Intelligent player.

He’s easily going to be back playing Premiership football after next season … with us hopefully.
