We are bottom of the form table for last 6, taking 1 point. Preston next to bottom with 3, and Leeds above them with 4. West Brom have 7.
We were 3 wins short of going 6th on goal difference in the end. The cup run and the way it ended did us.
But we are not the only team to collapse in the run...
Attack wise, we have 2 proven 20 goal players, 2 wingers that should weigh in with double figures or close to it. It's just depth we are missing at the front, and sort out our midfield depending on who stays.
I genuinely think we are just an experienced (McFadz type) player short in defence. I would like to see a keeper upgrade as well but think Collins is OK most of the time.
The problem with Sakamoto is, his form dipped sharply following his treatment by the thugs at Norwich. Then with his current injury that's a lot to come back from, confidence wise. He's unlikely to repeat that run of form IMO.
Yes, at the .moment we have most of the world saying it was unfair on us, and man u are the bad guys. I think we should now be a bit sanguine about it, and rise above all the bitterness and arguing.
This picture tells a different story to post 117 in the Thread Peter Bankes Needs Investigating. Haji is pointing to where he wants the ball played and is in the process of moving in that direction with the defender moving towards goal.
I agree with that but you have to choose your battles, we won the public opinion, but we don't want to be seen as a bunch of bitter poor losers. Cue Forest. Our time will come.
No, and I have no argument that the decision stands. However coming from a measurement & control engineering background I have a big problem with measurement which uses unsubstantiated data.
