The accounts to 31st May 2023 - the most recent available - give the wage bill as a bit over £16 million, although that is for all 196 employees not just the playing squad.
Doug King must pay his secretary well 😊
Make of it what you will but their wage bill is more than double ours:

It should be noted that ours is the smallest apart from Plymouth.
I disagree.
The right to abstain is just as much a part of the democratic process as the right to vote.
I regard it as important to vote and have always done so, even in the low level elections such as for the parish council, but if people don't want to that is their right.
I think they are...
Elphicke's defection is bizarre.
She gave one of her main reasons for crossing the floor as Sunak's failure to stop the votes but she is hardly a fan of Starmer's immigration policy:

She was also a right...
You could be right - I don't take more than a passing interest in Wolves - but my wife, a lifelong Wolves supporter, disagrees. She is certain that he was never the same player after his head injury.
I will be very sad to see Sheaf go but if we get a proper price for him and spend it well on 3/4 really good Championship level players it could turn out to be good for us.
I'm absolutely delighted that Tats is going to make a full physical recovery from his injuries, given the concern at the time that he might not be able to walk again never mind play football.
I really hope that the experience hasn't damaged him psychologically, for it can happen even where a...
I agree with that but we need at least one and probably two strikers, depending upon whether we keep Tavares.
We have been lucky that Haji Wright and Ellis Simms have largely avoided injury. We may not be so lucky next year and that is before you consider the need to rest them, loss of form or...
I hope we have a really good summer in the transfer market because we need it if we are going to push for promotion next season.
We have finished this year 9 points off the play-offs and 32 points off automatic promotion.
How exactly do you know this? Have you spoken to the player and senior officials at Bournemouth and Brentford?
Unless you have I will treat your comment with the same degree of suspicion as the press speculation.
I haven't got the foggiest idea whether there is anything in this. I could...
The press speculation is that Bournemouth and Brentford want to sign Ellis Simms.
We would doubtless get a good fee for him but it is depressing that it looks as if we are in for another major rebuild this summer.
Difficult to see where the goals are coming from tonight unless Matty Golden's form returns, which might be difficult given his lack of game time.
I would have been tempted to give Simms and Wright half a match each but perhaps he will bring both of them on around the 60 minute mark.
