I'll be going on a train holiday in Switzerland this saturday so wont be attending Wembley this time round.
Just hoping I can get a decent phone signal amongst the mountain tunnels and passes to keep up with the score.
Have a great afternoon everybody !
There were large numbers of Spurs fans in our end in '87. When Spurs scored both their goals at our end of the stadium in the 1st half, many people were jumping up and down, celebrating, in the lower tier.
You need to read up about Father Fell and then James McDade to realise Cov was more of a hot bed of IRA activity than many other cities in England.
James McDade was blown to bits by his own bomb as he placed it outside the old Post Office sorting office. In 'retaliation', the IRA bombed the two...
Now watched it all. Loved it ! It might just induce a ska/two tone revival... Who knows ?
Sincerely hope theres a second series to show how the band progresses (or doesnt...) Quite a few unanswered questions !
Also seen the 1st 4 episodes and will watch the last 2 tonight. Mostly filmed in Chelmsley Wood with Cov cathedral being the only bit I recognise as being 100% Cov. Pretty sure the several canal viaduct scenes were filmed at the M5/M6 junction.
Great series up to now and takes me back to my...
I remember Smiler saying they were heading to that Watford game and diverted once they heard of the postponement. They headed to Northampton v Torquay along with a good few other City fans and went in the away fans section where they met up and talked to Helen Chamberlain. No idea of the match...
Loved the Stuart Linnel commentary to the Luton goal - agree it was so crucial and again West End went mental.
Distinctly remember Les Sealeys reaction in the Luton goal. He desperately wanted us to go down after falling out with the Cov crowd when he was one of our keepers. Killers very late...
Very sad news to hear from Smiler of the passing of Kev this week.
No idea if he regularly used SBT but he would have been lurking there somewhere causing havoc in a highly amusing way from time to time.
I knew him from the GMK/Rivals days where he had so many different aliases that it was...
Binge watched the 8 episodes of The Gentlemen this week. Absolute quality series and has Guy Ritchies stamp all over it ! Vinny Jones, as usual, was more or less playing himself and it really worked well.
