Getting very worried! (1 Viewer)

I hope I'll be proved wrong but with 25mins to go I'm pretty worried at the state of our squad - doesn't feel like a promotion winning side.

Just a hunch, but feels like a smaller budget than last year, and I can't see any evidence of Madison's money being invested as it was claimed it would be. Not good...

We have less loanees and more permanent signed players on longer contracts , also Mogga stated last night he was going to look at some of the out of contract players over the coming weeks .

Both Saturday and Tuesday night the squad looked fine to me and certainly with a couple of players returning we can start moving up the table

If we don't get them tonight, TM will be still working on free transfers. IUts not the end of the world tonight, just the end of the loanees

Why worried? It's L1. There's a cigarette paper of difference between pretty much every team, and between most of the players too. We probably won't go up, and probably won't go down.

As already covered we can still sign out of contract players. Granted they may not be up to much but TM may find a good one hopefully.
All were missing out on today is another youth in on loan that many don't want as they want experience. Cannot win...

Doesn't feel like a massively strong squad having not scored a goal in the league
It's not going to be massively strong but the majority of them are our players and our players on longer contracts and most of them are players with a future as opposed to players with their best days behind them

As owners you have to question the fact that they are completely unwilling to invest even though a lot of teams around us have. Not being funny but when the players that Scunthorpe and Barnsley sign excite you more than anyone we have signed then that is a major issue.

I'm starting to wonder if I've accidentally wandered onto the Manic Depressive forum. We're either the best thing since sliced bread or the worst thing since I got a scotum caught in my zipper. There's hardly ever balance to anything.

I'd rather we not sign players just for the sake of it. The last thing we need is more useless baggage.
TM is right to be patient and seek out players who can really add something to the squad.

Not in the league though? Not saying it's all doom and gloom, just pretty mediocre.

We have scored twice and let in 5 in 5 games. So the margins between success a failure have been slim. We were unlucky to lose at Swindon and unlucky not to win a couple of the home games. Only Bradford where we looked second best, Bradford will best most team's at home. We have had a few injury setbacks too.
