Wisdom Teeth (1 Viewer)

Got to have one of mine out.

Seen an emergency dentist (license to print money) today after having really bad gum pain for a few days. I have a partially erupted and impacted wisdom tooth, which has caused an abscess. Had the abscess drained (worst pain I've ever felt). Said I'll need surgery to remove the tooth too. Taking co-codamol and antimicrobial tablets and the pain doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Anybody got any tips to relieve the pain?

I'm 36 and have just had my first wisdom tooth come through. I used paramol and some orajel and that just about did the job. I had an abscess once and used oil of cloves. That stuff tastes vile. DIY abscess removal is the most pain I have ever known but as the dentist caused it I didn't fancy letting him have another crack at fixing my mouth.

I had my lower impacted wisdom teeth out last year and was a hell of alot worse then I expected (sorry) I was expecting to go back to work the next day.
Had them done under general anaesthetic and fuck me when I came round didnt know where the fuck I was. What made it worse was the damage to the trigeminal nerve which although they make you sign a form pre-op telling you it is not that common it turns out it actually is. I lost all feeling in my tongue for about 4 weeks (some people never get it back) and thats the worst thing... not knowing it will ever come back. The overall pain wasnt too bad just feel overall pretty shit. Good luck!

Dentist won't even see me until the infection has cleared up now. 2 weeks until they decide what to do with it. In better news the pain has subsided quite a lot and only get pain when I laugh or smile,

I had one out a few months ago. Procedure was straight forward. Anaesthetic followed by a lot of pressing down and crunching. Unfortunately I ended up suffering from what's called 'dry socket' for nearly a week. The pain was unbearable but odds on that are slim overall. Basically once the tooth is removed blood should fill the hole and clot covering the exposure of the bone. My blood didn't clot and left a open hole with exposed bone. I was on paracetamol with ibroprofen. It was hell.

I remember having some codine painkillers, they put me on another planet.

Also, powdered taurine used to work. Had some for the gym, put it in water and it knocked me out

I had an emergency extraction in the dentist chair in October.....Unfortunately for me, I'd wrongly assumed they'd examine it first, then book me in for a procedure at a later date..

....but he said I could maybe wait 6-10 weeks (probably with recurring pain) or he could have a go there & then.......fucking hell it was agony.

50 mins of what I can only describe as torture before he finally managed to wrestle the remaining bit of root out of my jaw bone.....

Being self-employed & with a full schedule that day, I had to go into my workshop to unload 3 europallets of components whilst dribbling blood & crying .....If I was on someone elses payroll, i'd have taken 3 days off!

For pain relief, I went for the panadol/weed/brandy/MDMA combo....had to leave the van at work & get a cab home.....but it made it just about bearable....

Nurofen express. Two tablets should relieve the pain for about 3 hours max. Dental pain is one of the worse ever.

You see I would of once of agreed with that and dental pain is bad but once I was fighting with a few guys and they overpowered me an I was curled up in a ball on the floor and one of them while wearing the worse winkls ever kicked me straight between the arse cheeks and hit me full blast right centre of the arsehole boom
That was pain man
