There is a lot of opinion on here but no definitive view so just put your mark down and we shall see where everyone's thoughts really are.

Just voted, hope I'm wrong bur don't see Sladee as being capable of saving us, our demise will make it even more difficult to recruit as better players won't want to come on loan to be involved in a relegation scrap, SISU won't provide the funding for effective contracted players

Optimistic that Slade can have a productive time in January. That doesn't happen and we are totally doomed and could well be relegated several weeks before the end of the season.

Can't tell for sure till after Jan, but normally 50pts is needed for survival though in some years it can be as low as 45.

So at least 26 pts needed from 23 matches, easily plausible if recruitment is successful & there are not too many injuries.

Too big a repair job to do in one transfer window. Obviously I hope I'm wrong but at present there's no way back.

Looks like everyone thinks we are doomed! Oh dear.

What do you expect?

We have a weak and inexperienced back four.

Critically we have a midfield that's just terrible. Other than Stevenson and McCann none are up to the demands of league one.

We have God knows how many strikers none of whom can score.

Rubbish squad with about 3 players remotely capable.

I voted relegation because with the team we have it can't be any other.
The only hope is RS to somehow fill half the team with more physical capable new loans, if he can we will survive comfortably as thankfully we have other utter tripe Bury, Oldham and Swindon, I could keep going ,around us who will fill in the relegation spots.

The 60% who voted in the doomed category thus far, me included, are probably correct on this one...very, very sadly. The prospect of dropping into the 4th tier of the FL with no prospects, no investment and owners who are basically cashing in on whatever they can afore the club goes under, is one that 'bleak' doesn't even begin to describe.

The club is in a hideous, appalling detritus; all we can do is watch, realistically.

Unless one of us here is a closet billionaire...

I out we may survive but only if we can get players out and in. All
Players whose contracts are up in the summer (other than stokes) should be told they will not be renewed so get out now if you can. We need to ship out half the squad and get new players in.

It's how practical that is that's the problem.

Don't forget what a great job Fisher thinks he's doing.

If RS turns this team around, will it really matter? The club is a basket-case, with it's organs being harvested by the family before the inevitable...strange analogy, I know, but quite apt methinks.

Realism is all I can deal with, to be honest. I can't say: ''If Slade turns the team around, and saves us from relegation, then all will be great.". My mind will, and is, always focused on what fucking SISU are up to behind the curtain.

Even if Slade had a decent budget - the Stevenson money will be used to balance the current/L2 next season budget - he's hardly any time to get decent deals in place. The team looked relegation folder at the start of the year, and I don't think there's any way back. We're doomed, doomed I tell ya.

Doomed this season. Next season I can see us dropping out of the FL altogether.

Or we could all start supporting Coventry United...

...anyone?

Would only consider doing that if Coventry City no longer existed.

Getting pretty fed up with football in general though at the moment, so not sure I would follow anyone.

Might consider Cov rugby or the American Football team, the Jets.
