Coventry City boss Russell Slade is set to make his second and third loan signings of the January transfer window, drafting in young Derby County duo Farrend Rawson and Charles Vernam.

How do you know?????
I'm not filled with confidence by the last rams player we had(Kwame Thomas) as well as the last crop of young loans we had. I will give them a chance but I'm not convinced it is what's needed to get out of a relegation scrap. Mind you we will probably be relegated anyway

We need a striker and something for defence so it's hard to say, have to see them play first.
You have to ask the question though, if they're that great why are they here? Agree with you on the striker. If we don't get someone in who is a proven goal scorer then I fear for the worst. Could do with some creative midfielders as well

6ft4 defender with a bit of experience with Rotherham, not bad tbf. Vernam seems more of an attacking midfielder to me

Yeah the last thing we need is a "Dominant Defender and Lively Striker" When were bottom of the table.....
Lively striker? Do you really think this guy is going to get us out of the relegation zone? We need proven league one players who can stick the ball in the back of the net. You're Adam Armstrongs only come round once in a blue moon.

Hard to say without seeing them.

Guess this will be a shop window for him.

If he rejected Derby, how likely is it he would come here full time?

I imagine he rejected Derby's new contract because he wants to play first team football. I doubt that's going to happen at Derby with them splashing millions of pounds every year

Saw at the weekend that Willis is preferred to him.

One of them will be going I think, just glad he is bringing in somebody to replace them before letting them go!

I have never heard of them! means nothing really. I hope they are motivated and interested in helping us survive in this league.
I had heard of Henderson, Hunt and Ramage which tells you something.

We need to boost the squad numbers at back and elsewhere our bench Saturday looked threadbare. Fisher ain't going to rubber stamp permenant signings so get used to this type of signing. Still need 1/2 strikers.

They have two arms, two legs and a head. And they have never played for a top Prem side. So they must be shit.

For a player to have turned down a new contract in a higher division and join a club lower down gives me confidence in the move. He will not be on as much money so it isn't for 'greed' And he must be at least half decent to get offered another contract.

And so he would prefer playing over money. So he must be confident of his abilities.

So hard to tell whether they are decent signings, could be the next Armstrong/Samuel/Murphy or could be thr next agyei/wright/ball.

You can't really tell from the customary YouTube highlights. Time will tell.

Rawson seems promising, played well on loan at Rotherham in Championship. Seems frustrated at lack of opportunity at Derby. 6' 4" so hopefully a dominant CB.

The other lad seems more of a gamble, but can't really be much worse than the loans that went back.

Let's wait and see.
