Apologies to the bloke, I have no idea who he is, but I would expect an established agent to have a more PR friendly twitter cover photo than what to most looks like an empty goal net from the local rec.

He's been outed as a fake, his twitter profile picture is a stock photo and he isn't on the list of FA registered intermediaries.

This isn't happening and I am really not sure its for the good of the club. I think this scenario is really selling our soul to the devil and a real chance our identity will be lost. This is a true franchise club scenario....

And will the vociferous anti franchise posters suddenly discover franchising is good?

Each to their own but I think the desperation of getting rid of SISU and replacing it with someone else needs to be assessed. If they removed our colours, badge (basically our history), whats to say they wont move us out of the city equally?

As much as I want these bastards to leave, as much as I want success, I just not sure I would want that much change where it doesn't feel like Coventry City anymore.

I really dont see why they would want to change kit colour or badge? no idea where that is coming from. Surly they would just write REDBULL on the front like a sponsor? Plus they would I guess buy the Ricoh, why would they want to move out of Coventry?

So you wouldn't want this?

Red Bull looking to buy English football club and take them into the Champions League

This, for me, is why RB would be looking at us. They are aware of fans desperation to get rid of SISU, that they would accept things they usually wouldn't. They will be aware of football fans are partisan and passionate about their local area. This has been diluted under SISU's ownership. They will also have noticed how well Wasps have been welcomed into the community. This has the potential to be far more divisive to the fan base than SISU IMO.

Oh, also when Malaka first mentioned the rumour. He stated the council wanted too much? Sound familiar? People still certain they will bend over backwards to help the football team?

Sure Wasps won't object to changing their name, logo and colours. After all we keep being told rugby isn't like football and they are happy for any changes to be made.

Your opinion or based on something you know?

Undoubtedly our situation with SISU makes us an easy target for Red Bull. Other supporters would be more resistant to potential changes where as we're so downtrodden we'd accept pretty much anything.

All the other teams they own play in white and red. That said those teams away kits are blue so they could swap the two round. Personally wouldn't have an issue with a slightly darker shade of blue, not like we have exactly the same blue (or white!) every season.

It is the perfect time for them to get Wasps as their followers have proved they don't give a shit about change and the ones that follow them what more can you say about those.

As some have said for us to be rid of these owners will accept most things.

With those two teams and then the rugby league one plus the arena it looks a nice little package be great if they did something for the bees as well.

It could be a Red Bull City

Definitely, they run them as a advertising franchise, Formula one well what more do I need to say on that, it's high profile, the air racing again high profile,

Do you think a L 3 team would command the same amount of PR and advertising for a brand ?

Can you give me a sensible reason why they would buy COV ?

I don't think it is just about selling soft drinks any more. I think they are into running a sports and entertainment businesses as a way of growing their company.

If they just wanted advertising they would pay for shirt advertising at a top premiere league club.

In that case they wouldn't touch CCFC. If they want to build up an entertainment/ sports club, then maybe there would be a case for looking into our situation.

Out of curiosity (not because I think it would happen) how big is a speedway track / stadium? Could you potentially fit one between the railway and decathlon.

There is no standard size for a speedway track, Dave. There is possibly room for a track where you said, but that wouldn't leave an awful lot of room for spectators. To give you an idea, there has been speedway at Wembley and the Millenium Stadium. At both of those venues, at least part of the football pitch had to be taken up to accomodate the track. TGP, who's the ex Bee?

When there was the talk about moving the bears into Coventry (I know it was only to get planning permission in Brum) where near the Ricoh was that?

Torn on Red Bull. My gut says I don't want to see us lose our identity, whereas another part of me (head?) says it's better than a slow slide into nothingness.

I'll be honest, if we went down I'd probably be desperate enough to go for it. Depending on the details. I wouldn't want to lose the name Coventry City or the sky blue kit and they're probably the things they'd want to change.

Tough one.

CCFC becoming Red Bull Coventry is almost up there with SISU building a stadium.

My worry is Wasps get bought out, Wasps are owned by a hedge fund and in debt. Hedge funds like short term quick money and they make an attractive prospect to someone like Red Bull as its all there including sitting top of the league. Red Bull will not need the money like the current Wasps owners and will turn around and tell Fisher to fuck off elsewhere with his football team and court action.

Coventry. The City of franchise sport!

Hardly new to be fair, we stole the Blaze and no one had an issue with that when they were winning. Didn't the Crusaders come from somewhere else or did I make that up?

Edit: yeah were at Corby and somewhere else.
