It will be interesting to see how he does at Chesterfield. If he keeps them up then gets them into the playoffs next season can we safely blame SISU for all the woes we have here?

he will come back in for the players he knows not the ones that we ended up with. Probably will go for Tudgay he seems to like him.

Rather Turnbull and Tudgay
The Coventry curse strikes again, join us as a reasonably respected manager and your next job will always be a lower one- Chesterfield are a small club irrespective of their current league position compared to ours
Elvis - fleetwood and out
Robbins - Huddersfield was a step up, Scunny a step down
Thorne - Kidderminster and ?
AB - Cobblers
CC - Wales national job possibly an exception alongside Wee gordon
Dowie - didn't really manage again
Micky - Port Vale
Reid - abroad & Argyle

and the list goes on will Slade defy this - I doubt it

Good luck to him.i feel sisu must have let him down for such a poor run of results.

He let himself down.......

However i'm sure he'd agree with you.....
....its very convenient to be able to mask poor management by waving the "shit owners" card around.....

....and I'm in no way suggesting our owners are anything but shit.

I wouldn't class managing Wales or Scotland as a step up in all honesty!

Don't really see all the fuss, screwed up massively over the summer and he openly admitted it.

Also the most successful manager we've had since relegation before last summer. Only one to get us a top half finish. Obviously Robins could have beaten that but we will never know.

It's weird how so many of our managers do a complete 180.

Are you for real? from managing Coventry City 2017? its a bloody quantum leap, its from earth to the sun.......
Neither Coleman nor Strachan managed us in 2017! Strachan managed us in the Premier League and Coleman had probably our best squad from our Championship days!

The argument that Coventry city at any time is a more prestigious job than Wales or Scotland is frankly ridiculous. I would accept the argument that in the Premier league its a full time post that is a lot more hands on and maybe even a bigger salary but for a Welshman or a Scotsman or indeed any national team boss it is an aspiration that exceeds Coventry City.

No axe to grind here, a good footballing, honest and decent man and I wish him good luck.

It didn't work out here, but gave me some of the most exciting times in years as a City fan when we were top of the league last Christmas. Sure he is ultimately culpable in many ways for that failure too, but it was a good time being a City fan for a while. He didn't hang around for a pay off when others might and that says a lot about his integrity.

Spot on. Thoroughly decent bloke, working under difficult conditions.

Gave it his best shot, and when it didn't work out had the grace to leave without a fuss and at some personal financial cost to himself. I wish him nothing but success (except for this season if it turns out to be us or them).

Coleman was abysmal! Couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery and yet he has had success as Wales manager. Did he also not fail dramatically in Spain?
Anyways for me, it goes to show that International management is far easier than the weekly slug of the leagues for sure. After all you pick the best and most obvious 11 from a bevy of players as your platform. That's why I can never understand why England keep failing other than there is too much back room interference and additional pressure brought about by the press and hierarchy that are so unwelcome. Had Clough been appointed all those years ago we would have won the world cup again.

If there is one thing Coleman can do it's arrange a piss up in a brewery why did his career end:emoji_beer:

As a manager useless but has Bale

Strange move for Mowbray, I thought part of the reason he resigned was that basically he couldn't be arsed with a l1 relegation fight.

Hopefully he takes the shithead Venus with him.

Also made our worst start to a season for over 50 years, good luck to Chesterfield. Get a director of football to oversee the transfers, you're fucked if Mowbray is allowed.

Fair enough, TM is a nice guy, but that in itself is not conducive to being a success in L1; he proved that with us. Well, even though he did bottle it with us, I wish him the best.

Even so, I can't see him doing much/staying long at Chesterfield.

Fucked up totally in the summer. The CT did not help with nightly stories of players we never even got close to signing raising false hope among the more gullible hopeful fans, but he choose to speak to them and made himself look incompetent.

We are reaping what was (or not) sowed now with Slade trying to do a pre season in January.
