So, does this point again to either Willis or Harries leaving?

We will have Clarke, Turnbull, Rawson. Stokes can cover there too. With Willis and Harries that would make 6 centre backs.

Agree with Stupot. Neither seem to be scintillating players but we've been crying out for signings. It's good that the signings we're making are arriving now and not in 2 weeks time - but it's only real good news if they turn out to be decent. If we're signing Reece Brown and Roy O'Donovan reincarnated, I'd take our chances with our current squad, weak as it is.

Rawson and Vernam to Coventry on loan

Jesus Coventry have managed to get Rawson?! That's some move for them, he's definately good enough to play in the championship, nice to see vernam getting some experience too

Some good reviews on there

I think the comments from the derby fans are realistic, reasonable and informative. Certainly they think Rawson has a future and at a higher level. They are right re the characters of the two; I hope they develop as players here but it is s big ask if we expect these two to turn us around. But if they are up for a relegation scrap and give their best they will go back to derby in the summer pushing for championship football.

I think in our current position loans are the best option. No player worth their salt would want to sign for longer than until the end of the season.

Reviews sound good, but we've heard similar before. Consider me cautiously optimistic.

The centre half sounds decent, has championship experience. Should do well for us, the striker appears more of an unknown gamble.

Really pleased with both, although it will be interesting to see who is making way CB wise, unless he's changing to three?

I would be disappointed if it's Turnbull. I appreciate he's had a less than average start, but I think anyone would struggle with the players he had around/behind him. Next to an experienced pro he becomes a better player in my opinion.

I'm not filled with confidence by the last rams player we had(Kwame Thomas) as well as the last crop of young loans we had. I will give them a chance but I'm not convinced it is what's needed to get out of a relegation scrap. Mind you we will probably be relegated anyway
Yes of course Thomas written off after two fleeting appearances.

Been looking into these two a bit more Vernam has a pretty decent scoring record at U23 level. Derby signed him for a fee at 16. Rawson seems like he pops up with the off goal as well.

I think they'll prove to be decent signings.

I'm happy with the Rawson signing if it gets rid of Turnbull. He also was involved in a relegation battle last season and helped Rotherham stay up, that's exactly what we need someone who has been there and understands what's needed regardless of his age.
