Good bit of coverage to be fair. Brings attention to the owners being shit and that situation with the Ricoh. Mentioned our low attendance of 1300 or whatever it was.

Interviews a few cov fans asking what they want which was basically SISU to fuck off.

Played a few recordings of Fisher too who sounded like a tosser as usual

Started off as a mention of the rich list and spending of Man City. Then said not everyone is enjoing such a good time though...

- cov won FA cup 1987 (sound recording of final whistle and crowd roar)
- Now at bottom of league one looking like relegation.
- low attendance of 1300 for that game
- Fans not happy with owners, interviewed a few fans who were saying they just want them to go and they're not fit owners
- Mentioned the pitch invasion and played sound recording of commentary
- Played a few sound recordings of we want sisu out
- then to the recordings of fisher interview saying the club isnt in decline but in danger of downward spiral
- said they contacted SISU but didnt get a response

I just got an email from change.org about this. Radio 1 is possibly the biggest platform to date, good stuff. Assuming 'Grimmy' was nowhere near it.

Tim Fisher says we are not a dying club but on a downward spiral....... no shit Sherlock

Oh and SISU do care about the fans and football.... as long as it doesn't cost them a penny

What was this part of? Seems a bit random to be on radio 1, hardly known for its news coverage.
Was it Newsbeat? It stands out as an oddity on Radio 1, they briefly cover a load of fluff but then can really go in-depth on a subject and it's usually very good.

It seems like a random piece, and even more so random timing, to be covered on Radio One?

All I can think is that there is a Coventry fan somewhere in the top levels of management or something bigger is coming and this is the prelude? Albeit the latter is the tiny bit of optimism I have left coming through....
