He had a great start with $1M given to him but turned that into an empire - plenty had that start and blown it. I accept that you might not like him but to say the guy hasn't been successful is insane!

Also why should he support mass immigration just because his ancestory was part of it once? I know a number of affluent 2nd and 3rd generation Indians and West Indians through neighbourhood and work who strongly oppose the idea if uk mass immigration. Are you saying they are wrong and their opinion not relevant simply because they can't trace their uk ancestory past the Romans?
He became second in command to his father's company after his elder brother didn't want to do it anymore. He watched how his father built it up. Then he took over from his father. He took over a massive going concern and continued growing it. Then it went tits up at the end of the 90's. But he had a bit of luck and it got going again.

Have missed out lots about finances and accusations. But that is it in short.

Sounds like you don't know much about Trump.

If you are a white heterosexual male who has money you should be OK. If not then you need to be worried.

He is totally against immigration. But his grandfather came from Germany. His maternal side are British.

You say about his business sense. All built by his father and grandfather. His father built it on corruption. And look at how Trump continued.

Yeah good bloke and good morals :wideyed:

Let's not forget his boasting caught on video and numerous allegations of sexual assault as well.

I love modern day outrage. Its like an infectious disease fuelled by social media. It's as if until tango man was elected America was a united, fair success of country but now it's all going to go wrong and they are going to invade China. Bring us back to the peace loving days of Obama with no bombing foreign countries and harmonious race relationships.
I am confident of one thing. Far too much effort has been put into moulding the people over the last 30 years to let some temporary renegade get in the way.

I don't understand all the violent protests?

I saw a post online which made a fair bit of sense: "Those protesting, are not protesting against Trump, they are protesting against Democracy as he hasn't had the chance to do anything yet"

I'm not denying he's a bit of a twat, and talks about women appallingly, but there were two very poor candidates the American people had to choose from, Clinton was just as bad IMO, and the majority picked him. He may well turn out to be a poor president, but why don't those apposing him just wait and let him crash and burn, if they are so sure?

Yeah, there was no police brutality at all under Obama. All races were equal, and there was no US involvement in world conflicts.

Ironically, I saw a slogan saying: NO TO TRUMP, NO TO WAR. If Trump wants to make America wealthy again, he wouldn't take them to war IMO. They cost too much.

Kellyanne Conway, a senior White House aide, told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday Spicer had merely been offering “alternative facts”, a phrase that was received with widespread astonishment.

This isn't going to last hahaha!

Like a lot of democratic systems it has failings. In theirs it's the electoral colleges...you may win a state by 1 vote or a million votes but get the same. Equally here the Tories only got just over a third of the vote in 2015 but have a majority government. Perhaps the Tories have less of a mandate than trump.

I do agree, it is weird why it's not amount of votes.

However, I highly doubt there'd be much uproar if Clinton had of won by a couple of million votes.

The world is becoming more and more like 1984.
Yep, the new White House Press Secretary has refused to answer any questions from the media as apparently they have fabricated the story of Trumps inauguration being poorly attended despite the clear photographic evidence.

Just seen a very interesting video of anti-trump protestors in London. Will try and upload it later.

I still don't understand trashing the shops, limos etc? Fair enough, protest, but why smash up innocent people's businesses? The point they're trying to make, diminishes when they do these kind of things. If it was right wing or EDL doing this, there'd be outrage and the army on the streets.

Always happens, think its just people that want to smash things up not people who are really part of this, or any other protest.

Ridiculous.

There was a soundbite opportunity right there.

I thought of something within half a minute of hearing it. Said to he missus why is he denying it! He should be trying to turn it in his favour.

'The numbers were way down on Obama's inauguration.'

'It matters not what the numbers were today, what matters is how good a president I shall be for the people of this country.'

That sort of thing. Ridiculous to deny and alternative facts is just plain stupid.

Its not been a glorious start. Odds on Trump not lasting the full term down to 5/2.

The alternative facts thing is like something out of 1984.

He might also be in trouble because of his twitter account, which should surprise nobody.

The Presidential Records Act and Freedom of Information Act both require all government communications to be preserved.

Normally the president has an account setup by White House staff where tweets are automatically copied to an archive account. However Trump is insisting on continuing his personal twitter but has been deleting tweets.

Now it is down to the lawyers to decide if his personal account becomes part of the public record.

Spotted at the anti-Trump women's rally:

That's pretty clever and I agree though I suspect changing the parties around and white women openly mocking black women would cause some sort of faux social media outrage. It shouldn't of course but it would
