Open top bus parade (1 Viewer)

I think it would be a great idea if we do it on a cold rainy day and lock them up on the top deck.

A bit like in the beginning of Mike Bassett.

Definite No from me!
However, I would be favour of TF being strapped to the front of a bus and being pelted with rotten fruit.
Oh I like this idea, can he be strapped to a spinning wheel attached to the front of the bus, just for aesthetics of course.

Its a no for me. Enjoy the day but parading for that tinpot cup and with all likelihood being relegated would just be embarrassing.

And it looks as though wasps will win their league, I'm sure they'd do one and do it better just to piss on our chips.

I would hope that there would be no open top bus parade . The day out a Wembley will be great but this team is the poorest I have seen in my time as a City fan. Not their fault but no bus parade is deserved for such a small success. As regards Wasps, if they do win their league, how many would turn out for them if they decide to drive around the City Centre? I wouldn't think their would be many and this would confirm their franchise status. When you think of the 250k who turned out in 87 it is hard to see that they would get even a tenth of that. Less than 10k would be funny. Wouldn't be able to give away free tickets for this one.

Surely you decide these things when you have actually won something. Otherwise you end up like the Spurs shop selling discounted 'Premier League Champions' cakes when their season imploded and Leicester cantered on to victory.

They would probably organise it to coincide with a big European tie so as to boost numbers

An open top bus parade like 87 is over the top but it would be nice to get everyone together to celebrate. Given that its not the last match of the season something on a match day? Its legends day on April 8th that could work. Maybe see if we can get the bus up there and let people get a picture with the trophy.

Guess for the players it would have to be pre-match. You'd need to make sure whatever it was didn't impact the game but you can't really schedule something like a lap of honour for the end of the game as we'll probably be losing and everyone will have gone home!
If it was driven onto the pitch that would make a statement.

I see the CT are talking about it as an option.

That has to be a firm no surely?

I would be totally against it. Yep, it's a cup, but I really don't think it warrants it.

A meet the players event might be a good idea though. Have your photo taken with the cup for the kids, that sort of thing.

I think I would be embarrassed by an open top bus parade. Needs to be more low key.
Only at the end of the season, ( and only if we survive relegation ) winning at Wembley and staying up, after the dross we've witnessed this season, now that would be a miracle ! :angelic:

The CT are getting ahead of themselves, hadn't we better see if we win the thing first. Then if we do, no parade thanks.
