The club feed stories to the Observer so if they've run it I'd expect their to be something in it. This is all a bit late though. If we'd won Saturday and held on last night we'd have a chance but its gone now IMO.

Potentially could be good, based on experience and his skill historically, although his recent record does not inspire confidence.

Seems like throwing good money after bad. We're down, if there is any spare cash swilling about it really needs to be kept hold of until the summer. Give the new manager the best possible chance of success next season.

In fairness, half people are saying "there's no point in signing better known, more experienced players now" - but the other half of our support are calling for just that!

' The players and staff have the day off after last night’s improved performance at AFC Wimbledon ended in a bitterly disappointing 1-1 due to the Dons’ last-minute stoppage-time equaliser.'

Fuck that! Get them practicing on the training ground from the break of dawn. Some militant training in mental strength and manning the fuck up. Also work on not switching off in the last minute.

Day off? For fuck sake!

I agree, it's too late for the league but he won't be tin pot cup-tied.

I saw Richardson score his first career goal in a league cup game at Old Trafford - it was against Leicester I believe.

He was one of those players who, because he came through the Man U youth team, everyone thought would go on to be a top top player - in fact he was an average player whose supposed reputation hindered him if anything. People say "he didn't live up to his potential" but that potential was kind of imagined due to coming from Man U; plus, 99% of footballers don't live up to their full potential but because he's ex-Man U, he is made out to be a failure.

Sign him up, he's better than Kyel Reid

It's not too late however bleak it looks right now. 3 wins and a couple of draws in the next 5 and we will be in with a shout. Gotta happen now mind hence the need for experience and help in getting the ball in the back of the net! If he's available, match fit and raring to go, get him in. Him and Yakubu will increase the crowd on Saturday.

Telegraph have picked up and look to be reporting it a bit different as if it's more guaranteed.

Feed the Yak and he will score.
Him Jones and Reid might give us an incentive to play it on the deck and get crosses into the Yak.
Still wish we got Murphy though

I never rated him, he was always over hyped in my view

However at our level im sure he's good enough. Plus, it's better than playing a CB at LB.

Him and Yak are strange signings as it is too little too late, I wonder if RS had half an eye on next season i.e. get a few experienced pros in now so they are fit for next season and should be better than L2 standard?

That of course assumes he will be here next season and he has a footballing brain.

No.

More likely is that there were still funds left in the pot that were put aside at the start of the season. Same for KR

Lets just face it. Nothing that Slade does from now on will save us from relegation.
I guess he is using the possibility of a Wembley appearance as a recruiting tool.
That would be great if we were pushing for promotion but unfortunately at this point relegation is a done deal.
