Why I will not go to Wembley (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I'm a newbie to this forum site. Careful with me i'm long time fan. First game with my dad back in late 60's, yes an old dude. All those years as a City fan have made me into a very angry man. So, back to my thread.
Don't blame any City family for going to Wembley, enjoy your day out. For me, just cannot do it. Why? 1, shit cup. 2, cannot go when City are relegated. 3, my anger issue - Sisu (Fisher) has focused attention on shit cup rather than league. Example, risking playing Beavon to help win Wycombe game when he was carrying an injuring, making it worse so he was not available for more important league survival game. A major loss in a poor team. So as a result of this ill judged payday moneyed focus on shit cup at a cost of our league status, I refuse to go. If City were in comfortable league position it would be happy day out for me. As we are going to get relegated, I will watch shit cup final with my mates rather than give my money to Fisher to pay Sisu court costs.
Boy am I angry.

Is Fisher picking the team now?

I don't think the cup run is causing relegation is it?

Welcome by the way

HELP! Money to who? Give me strength! EFL, FA, Wembley. Unsure of clubs split but whatever it is goes to costs of running the club, wages, rent, general running costs etc. etc..

Yes it's a factor. A distraction on the more important league games you can lose your focus. Apart from injuries and tiredness of younger players. No improvement after winning these shit cup games in league was there?
Welcome by the way

Only my view. But these shit cup games can tire the kids. More games more fatigue, late goals against tiredness?? The Beavon injury was final straw. Fisher/Slade idiots for risking an important player in pointless shit cup.

How has Sisu focussed on a shit cup. Surely that's down to the manager.
Welcome to the madhouse by the way. Seems you're going to fit in well.

Sisu(Fisher) obviously encouraged manager to focus on cup for the monies they could pick up. Even Venus stated we need a cup run back in Nov. Thought that was odd at time when we were struggling in league. Yes men.

Did he actually do that, or have you signed up just to push that?

we didn't put a decent team out in this cup until the Wycombe game I didnt think? Also take away our CT trophy wins and we'd be in an even worse position regarding squad morale. We've been relegation fodder since day 1 lets be honest, a cup run and a day out at Wembley won't be what relegates us.

I agree we have been relegation fodder from start of season. But most of the shit cup games have involved a minimum of 5/6 first team regulars. Best team v Wycombe. In my opinion if we had lost in this cup then players less fatigued
Especially the kids. Who, let's face it have been pressed into forster team football cause we are so pants. It's far too many games for them in one season. We could've done without this pointless shit cup. If we were safe in league it would not be an issue. Unfortunately I think this shit run has contributed to some of our tired end of games. Only my view.

With a place in the team at Wembley maybe players will work their bollocks off to secure a place?

Or knowing our luck Slade will promise any new signings a place in the team in the final and the players who got us to the final will be well pissed off and not give a fook how we do anymore!:bored:

Hardly a shit cup A cup competition levelled at our level of football so I don't think we've done too bad!!

Shit cup ? Tell that to the fans that have braved weather, traffic miles of travelling to watch games
This is the bit I just don't get.

The EFL Trophy is for teams in League One and League Two, or always has been until that silly rule change this season.

We are a League One team. For teams in League One and Two this is the only cup competition they can win.

Can understand the consternation with the U21 thing, but don't get the crap competition thing just because we used to be a much bigger club.
