With Slade only here until the end of the season, I think we should be trying to poach the Cowley brothers from Lincoln. 2 up and coming coach's who have turned Braintree around from nowhere and got them into the Play offs. They averaged 1.7 points per game. Then moved onto Lincoln and taken them to top of the league in there first season nailed on for promotion averaging 2.2 points per game. Everyone knows what they have done in the FA Cup this year. We should get them signed up before someone else snaps them up.

Discuss.

As much as I've not thought much of him, if Slade wins us the cup but more importantly keeps us up (unlikely I know) then I'd give him another season.

With a full pre-season, knowledge of who's worth keeping, it would give him more of a chance to put his own mark on things.

I'm not saying he's a brilliant manager but any stretch, but a Cup and survival from our current position is worthy of another year in my opinion.

The Cowley brothers are more likely to go higher up the football league pyramid, I think with what they have achieved so far they could get offers from league one or even the championship.

I'd personally try and temp John Eustace here, he has done a good job at Kidderminster so far.

Don't we want him here full time? ;)

Don't really think we want another temp do we?

Lincoln ought to be a force next season in L2. They must be on the way to bagging a couple of million from cup ties (made up figure in my head!!), through TV coverage, prize money etc as well as having a solid fan base regarding season tickets (i.e. they are currently successful). Not sure why the Cowleys would want to jump to a club with scurrilous (posh word of the day?) owners and no ground one year on?

They have made a million so far, city is buzzing. The Cowleys will be offered higher clubs than us. They play good football too. (I live in Lincoln)

They might well be offered better job than ours but we should throw our hat into the ring at the very least and get an offer to them.

They will have far better offers than what we can realistically offer them however I doubt they will leave Lincoln soon tho as they have only gone full time less than 12 months ago and left there respective day jobs.
Rebuilding a falling club in a toxic environment I don't think is something they would see as a exciting challenge at this stage of there careers.

Whatever manager is in control next season whatever division we are playing (looks like the 4th division) there needs to be a change of policy as we must stop selling our young players and decent players and build this club again - There is absolutely no point in hiring a decent manager or obviously decent suggestions like the Cowley Brothers as their reputation will end in tatters as the club is currently plummeting out of control will sink to the non-league the end of next season if this policy does not change
