Is burge ok to play? If so I would stick with him and keep same starting line up in defence. I would probably bring in beavon for tudgay even though the latter did have a good first half.

Don't think Tudgay offers much over a full 90 minutes but is a player that Slade seems to have a preference for. Bevon may start on the bench but I want to see the yak get his shooting boots on the pitch or why else have we brought him in? There is a certain knack about some players at being in the right place at the right time so we have to look to Yakubu as that person. If we play Bevon and the Yak then there must be providers on the pitch such as Jones and Haynes who can swing a ball into the danger areas.
I could pick my team and I'd guarantee Slades will be way different!
Hell of a must win so here's hoping we start well and come out winners. Still can't call it for sure but if we can't beat Swindon at home then we don't deserve to be anywhere but where we are.

We never seem to be informed these days about injuries, so cant pick a team from game to game. How is Stokes, Stevenson, Beavon, Burge, the 2 young forwards nobody has seen, are the Thomas-s fit, cant the CET find out anything now ?

Like the idea of dual Thomas's beside a focal point striker. Assuming all fit, I'd go:

RCC
DKE Clarke Willis Haynes
Foley Reilly Bigi
G Thomas Beavon K Thomas

S: Burge, Turnbull, Rose, Stevenson, Jones, Yakubu, Tudgay

Bring Yak on for Beavon towards the end. Tudgay on bench in case Beavon needs to go off with more than 20 mins left

youre going to bring Beavon off twice?

He does a lot of unheralded defensive work, which is needed because our defence isn't up to it themselves.

Just looked at the recent form table, CCFC are still bottom despite the win, Swindon are second from bottom.
Swindon have only conceded 9 goals in the last 8 games, we've conceded 14.
However, we've scored a couple more than them (7 to their 5).
Everything points to a very tight game.
Being at home, we should have the edge.
I'll go for a 2-1 win again. Could be 1-0 but I can't see us not conceding.

2-1 city. George Thomas on 24 mins, Kwame Thomas on 29 mins. Then Slade will shut up shop at half time, we'll concede at 88 mins.

When I played it on FIFA, it was Cov 3 Swindon 0... Beavon hatrick.

But I can't see us keeping a clean sheet, so I'm going 3-1.

I have a £5 on Labour to win Stoke tonight, and a separately another £5 on them to hold Copeland. If they come in, I'll put the money on a CCFC home win on Sat!

This is up for grabs for which team wants it the most, both evenly matched and both poor in form. We have to win and then maybe there is a small chance that the fight back is on. Going to be a nervous one

We need wins now especially at home and especially against teams down there with us! Swindon are a bit of a bogey side for us...I can see it being a draw which wouldn't be good enough, but hoping for a win.

Fuck Wembley, I just want us to survive against all the odds.

Seems like we never get anything off these, hopefully our strikers have discovered the
Art of scoring goals, if so we should have a chance in every game we play.
2-1 win, if we can just see it out.:emoji_fingers_crossed:
