Is this where the love in starts?

Does that mean Venus will be moving soon?

Mowbray’s management team will include two familiar faces to Rovers fans, with the club’s Head of Academy Coaching David Lowe stepping up to become Assistant Manager and club legend David Dunn taking on the role of First Team Coach.

Good luck to him, a lot of time for him as a man, not so sure as a manager. Unfortunately don't think he'll be able to turn them round.

Good luck to him, he's lost his way in the end with us; both tactically and with his transfer policy, but he at least left with dignity and seemed to genuinely want to do well for us.

Also gave us the most existing first half to a season I've witnessed. Just a shame he completely messed up the second half.

Why this love in ?
He is majorly to blame for where we find ourselves today. Disastrous summer recruitment, playing people out of position and chucking in the towel when he realised it had gone tits up.
Nice bloke yes ,and the hearts in the right place, but I feel Blackburn may suffer like we have from his appointment.
Let's hope he signs Lameries and other crap he thought were good players here.
As I say nice bloke but football manager ,not for me

I'm very surprised he's took this job. He left us a broken man after working under our constraints, now to take on a similar job.
Is it a till the end of season to be reviewed? I think there squads good enough to stay up if he's just looking short term to actively circulate his cv for a better job in the summer.
He's a championship manager for sure, just failed to get the players at league one ability to play his game. He will get results at Blackburn this season, they've goals scorers on the books already!

The love in never ended for me nick.
My favourite manager at city for a number of years , I really enjoyed the football we played under him and I wish him all the best.
It's a very tough job at Coventry city he kept us up , then finished 8th , yes he had his issues and did some things wrong but all managers have their moments.
I'd have him back here right now if we could

No he has to take the lion's share of the blame for
1) Not getting us up last season. When we were top of the league he constantly told fans and reporters not to get carried away - he'd been top with Boro twice at Christmas and failed to make the playoffs. Given that that's exactly what happened to us you might have thought a decent manager would have asked what went wrong the first time, tried to address it the second, and make sure it didn't happen a third time. His January 2016 recruitment included Henderson, Hunt and Ramage!

2) Leaving us with a rubbish squad this summer. Whatever the reasons his reach exceeded his grasp in terms of transfer targets and he failed to recruit the centre-halves and strikers he believed we'd get. meanwhile he decided to let go of squad players like Phillips and Martin without adequate replacement and chose to sanction Vincelot's move to Bradford.

3) walking away when he did. breaking something and then running away, who does he think he is David Cameron?

Lets face it this is his level, he and Venus just could not recruit at a lower level, that's why this years squad has failed.

He certainly is a glutton for punishment. Sisu then Venky's! He must have a masochistic streak. Where next for him - Blackpool?

Watch every call for him back when he wins his first game and first few.
Difference being he's inherited a fairly decent squad at Blackburn and has some useful strikers at his disposal.

They obviously couldn't afford to match or better Venus's current salary

no mate only people to blame are SISU as they were the ones to set up his policies
with their lack of investment not allowing him to bring in the players he wanted

As soon as I saw Coyle had gone and they needed someone to save them, i thought "Mowbray". I wish him good luck but they're another club who fire through a manager per year, have crap owners and have no money.....

The same as at every club then isn't it?

How many football managers can actually go out and get every player they want? This isn't FM with the cheats on.

It is almost as if you are miles out of touch of lower league football.

I think Mowbray only stayed here because he was asked to by Venus, he really wanted to leave, he applied for the Rotherham job didn't he.
