I was told today he will be gone after Bury game unless we claim maximum points. But we will not replace him externally, make of that what you will.

Ricketts it is then.
Yup, definitely.

Let's be honest, he can't do any worse than Slade. And I mean that 100% literally. If Slade waits for the sack, he's without dignity as well as ability, imo.

I'd not be surprised in all honesty, Ricketts will take charge and is the man in the frame for next season anyway so if that is the long term plan then that it will be.

Pat from the family zone should lead the team out if slade does leave before the final. More of a fan than most and gives so much back to the future fans of ccfc

Wouldn't surprise me to find this is in the unwritten part of his contract. If he goes before we are relegated means his reputation for never having one of his teams drop remains intact and he's as employable as ever.

Sticking your neck out there aint ya?

I wasn't giving an opinion. Just noting that it wouldn't be a surprise to see slade stay or go. If there had been a question about whether he should leave then the answer is yes...after the abysmal showing yesterday not after bury.

Please can you give us an idea of your source for this? Fair enough if you don't want to name names, but would be good to get a steer.

A mate of mine is reasonably matey with TF, and via this mate I understand that TF has been deeply unimpressed with some of our performances under Slade.

Well Yakubu needs to do something as I doubt he'll play again this season. Might as well be a manager as we are paying him.

He has plenty of years behind him now...

Who out of us would be shocked or upset if this was the outcome. He has been a disaster and although i never rated him anyway, anyone who takes this job are in a very bad situation, not only this season but next. We have become a job that people would want because of the name, but a job that is getting harder to attract good candidates, which is how we ended up with what we have now.

A pattern is happening with our managers and that with a downward spiral of the club puts any potential manager looking at us as a poisoned chalice other than a chance to turn us around or a career around. We will always attract managers but until the off field issues are solved and the club has a clear path to success in whatever form, we are a club surviving as a business, with the ever permanent pattern of changing a manager to misdirect attention away from the root cause of our issues. That circumstances is a bad one for a club looking for the next man up, as he becomes the fall guy for the owners lack of leadership within the club. Not a very attractive position for anyone looking to build a reputation or resume.

Can we get George and John to lead us out just for that game? Or give them both the job until the end of the season?
Have a heart, that would probably kill them, after all Snoz is 80 now & George isn't far behind.
