A thought for Sunday - Enjoy The game (1 Viewer)

I was showing my pass to a steward on the way in yesterday and he remarked 'enjoy the game' - I said I never enjoy the game and he said why do you come if you do not enjoy the game? - I had to actually think about the question? I said I think it must be habbit - I then witnessed the most atrocious game both sides were poor and our players ran around like headless chickens - Our two wingers were kicking their heels on the bench and we are supposed to be fighting for our lives and scrapping for points. My thoughts were further confirmed by a certain Dele Adebola in his guest speaker spot after -(now that was a guy that could play) and he also made my days enjoyable same as the guys I spoke to earlier Cyrille Regis and Dave Bennett - I suddenly realised why I still attend maybe one day we can get those sort of players back in our shirts and this nightmare will be over

Even when we've been in good form and have won games I've never ever enjoyed the matches. Ever.
I've enjoyed goals and results but never the actual match.
As soon as we go 1 nil up I'd happily end the match instantly, 3 points, back to the pub.

In difficult times you must look for crumbs of comfort where you can and it does warm me to think that the ex players mentioned and others still care about the club.

I can't get to any games but I don't even enjoy reading the BBC text commentary.

I don't think many actually enjoy the matches. They're just there out of loyalty and to spend time with mates and family. I've felt like that for years.

It's just what we do I guess!

The thought that this'll be my final season despite the thoughts of a L2 relegation battle next season still wrenches me!

Well done SISU you really have managed to break me out of a routine I thought would always be something I did!

The club becomes part of your family , so you go out of loyalty and when a family member dies you feel sadness
If and when the club dies , there will be alot of sadness !
And when that happens it will be to LATE to do anything about it !!!!! :emoji_sob:

Adebola would be head and shoulders above this current shower, but let's not pretend he should be in the same sentence as Benno or Cyrille!
