you've seen the CCFC crest or something related?

Figured I'd kick the week off with something light-hearted after the shower of shite that was Saturday. I was flicking through some photos the other day and found this one I took outside a bar in Darwin last summer ccfc_darwin.jpg

A pub in the Rocky mountains in Canada, the ceiling was covered with scarves left by visitors. Looking around at all the obvious teams and then directly above our table was the single Cov scarf. Like fate, it was.

I stayed in an airbnb with some mates near Adelaide too, went to pick up the keys wearing my city shirt and was greeted with "oh you're fucking kidding me!" before the guy ran off and came back with a couple of shirts from the 80's and his ticket from the FA cup final. Needless to say we got an extra night half price and a free bottle of wine!

10 years ago, I found a faded picture of John Aloisi in Cov kit in a closed betting shop window in a 10,000 inhabitants mining town called Bruntal - a town in the Jeseniky mountains in Czech republic.

One of the strangest places I have seen a City shirt was on the back of a statue in the middle of the Swindon pitch at the weekend. Someone had printed "Yakubu" on the back. Presumably some kind of homage to that ex-Pompey player who retired a few years ago.

Spoke with the gaffer about it.

He is the Hull fan.
Cov crest has been peeled off
