I must admit to being totally underwhelmed by the suggested protest at Wembley. Is it supposed to wake some rich guy up and they say "fuck it, I am going to invest in that club" ?
Yes it may gain some traction but really is that the best we can come up with?
Where's the inspiration, the wit and message that this is Coventry City and we are worth your time and money?
45,000 plus fans, a fiesta like the last day at HR, thats what's needed IMO, lets sing, lets bounce, lets remember it as one of the good days, FFS we have so few of them nowadays.

Just seen it, no real need is there. Who is going to print off a bit of paper and take it down on the all dayer and then get it out then?

Easier to just say fill our bit with sky blue which it will be anyway.

Slow news day I'd say so over to "PSB" for some content for an article.

I have to say I thought it was a decent idea if someone like the Trust put the card out on seats prior to the match. Would be newsworthy and highlight the plight a bit more.

And it's peaceful. And prior to kick off.

Then we can go mental as Riyadh suggests.

I would have banners in Chinese and Arabic pleading for a super rich owner and some in Finnish telling Joy Sepalla respectfully to do one and bugger off.

Funnily enough, the two most exciting games this season were Sheffield united and Northampton.

It is, and tbh if people want to SISU Out they can knock themselves out.

This is kind of a bit abstract, though... and weak as piss... and ultimately pointless because as mentioned, 40k+ fans will show potential. We don't need owners who are such morons this has to be spelled out to them with an Only Connect quiz question.

No. It shows Sisu all they need to do is get to a final of a shit cup to hide a relegation. Showing that fans will turn up for a jolly, regardless of club failing. Easy to please some fans.

Ah, so because people are going to Wembley they won't know about relegation?

Christ, people talk some bullshit don't they. It's up there with your Fisher was behind the cup run to get all the money crap.

Course they know about relegation, well about 10k maybe, but choosing to ignore it. Just what the Sisu boys want us to do. The Wembley jolly is the opium for the masses.

Who is ignoring it?

You do realise somebody can be happy about 1 thing but not another? ie if we win tonight / score etc.

Yes I do agree with that. How are the fans on the jolly showing their anger/protest ? Holding placards/posters up. Better not to turn up. A more impressive protest would be to ignore the jolly. An empty stand. I know will not happen but more of a statement. Only my view but by all these fans turning up for a jolly for a day turns a blind eye to this relegation year. People easy to please. Just saying. You makes your choice. My protest makes more of a statement. Don't go.

And potential buyers think - "They can't be bothered to turn up for this MASSIVE game so why should we invest in a team that nobody cares about"

Sorry mate but no-one is going to say " Oh look there are over 40,000 Cov fans here but Burty isn't one of them.
I respect your convictions but that's not the way to go.
And if 10000 regulars had refused to go there would just be more "day outers" there

Potential buyers have got to wait for Sisu to want to leave. Not much left to buy. Does anyone want the buy? If they do they only have to look at average attendances to see what potential we have. Unless we sniff a Wembley jolly.

You have made your statement and well done for having principles and standing by them.
It must be tempting to say that I would like to join in a trip to Wembley to support my team.
Some would say you are pissing on your chips, cutting your nose off to spite your face, I think that you should join us and let the football world see the opportunity that has presented itself to us in a sea of despair and maybe some good can come out this misery.
Staying at home on a day like this is like boycotting an orgy, somebody else is having your fun!

They did this at the Wycombe game, but most people made them into paper aeroplanes and were more interested in trying to get them onto the pitch
