Every time we've tried wing backs it's been an unmitigated disaster.

Slades downfall was panicking and adopting it. Mowbray adopted it with full backs who'd never played there.

Wing backs defend as well as attack.

It has been, but Haynes and DKE are more naturally suited to playing wing back then Willis, Page or even Stokes. Didn't Haynes come to fruition with Pressley playing wing back? Your issue is you dislike Haynes and DKE, regardless.

Slades downfall was a lot more than trying to adapt TM's tactics. How many times did he actually play 3-5-2? Plus, TM tried to play with two wingers at 10.

If the wing backs are disciplined, it's a formation than can work as it allows two strikers.

Wasnt expecting a switch to 352. I knownhe played it wt huddersfield when they have a v good defensive record for s couple of months

Blad bigi is playing. We need haynes to have a good game and get some dangerous crosses in

Old bloke with grey hair on pitch with Southend. Strange he's just strolling around doing fa.

352/532, different but the best way to enhance Haynes game, hopefully we can use the width. Got the passing machine in Bigi back and lead boots still in between the sticks.
Tudgay back in tho? Come back Russell!(I'm joking!!! Calm down)
MR has nothing to lose in rolling the dice with personal and try something new. It's all about next year now.

Beavon and tudgay isn't too bad, both intelligent so hopefully it will be lay it out to wing back and get in the box for a low, dangerous cut back to tap in

Nile Ranger starting for them apparantley.

Put your life savings on that twat scoring.
With Robinson too, I saw him for huddersfield a few years ago and he looked amazing. Vanished after that and did well at Lincoln.

Him and ranger could be a handful, nouble and fortune on the bench. Battering rams on 65 minutes ;)

I was just thinking that if we can get 2 wins and a draw before Wembley, in what look like winnable games against Southend and Vale in midweek home games, MK Dons and mid-table P'boro (also home), then we'll put ourselves in a good position for a run-in where we'll have momentum and be able to put pressure on the sides above us.

Then I realised that that's 7 points and it's taken us 4 and a half months to string together our last 7 points........

Still think we'll win tonight though.

I wonder what the odds are on all four of them scoring.

Could be worth 10p.

Dead around the ground, won't be many tonight.

Nice and warm still though

Even I can't get there tonight - first miss since Wimbledon I think.
To be honest the result is irrelevant. Robins really would be a miracle worker if he conjures another 2 wins from this shower

I kin give up.All of em have tried wing backs, it don't work. The players are to thick to play this system. And how the f*** has Tudgay talked himself back into the side.
I think the issue is that he doesn't want to drop Clarke, can't drop Turnbull Haynes or DKE, but also wants to pick all three central midfielders.

Still surprised that Tudgay is playing instead of Kwame though.
