He would be much wiser to wait for SISU to feed what they want Les to release. Then do some investigative journalism into what is released. Rather than rehashing it and claiming exclusives. Les will always get any exclusive from the club. However he won't investigate what he is told, as he won't want to ruin a good thing. So that should be Simon's role to do the digging that Les won't.

Telegraph should be investigating everyone.
The club shouldn't ban the CET. If they don't like what they report they should proof them wrong if it isn't true.
With this talk of mediation and parties getting together. (I appreciate thatdiednt include the CET) However you head of comms
For CCFC laughing and having a pop at a local journalist in the biggest local paper about its ban from the club.
It's both unprofessional, pathetic and goes very much against the grain of this apparent time of mediation and peacemaking.
Get your head out of your arse CCFC engage the CET.
Brief them about the plans for the Butts and prove them wrong.

For what it's worth Ryton ranks as probably the most basic ( and certainly the smallest) first team facility I've seen.

I've been to a few through work. Fulham and Bolton are two that spring to mind as pretty basic. Certainly not what you'd expect from recently relegated PL clubs. I've also been to Wasps old base in Ealing. Now that was basic.

In fact, thinking about, bar the Top PL clubs, training complexes do tend to be quite basic (across sports). You need a number of pitches and some form of office block to house offices, canteen and maybe a small medical room.

Don't know if this will embed the whole conversation, but it's a bit of a shambles all round

You should never ban journalist because they bring you to question. If you have nothing to hide you should face them. They are as bad as Trump.
Print what werell you too or only nice things about us or you are banned. Pathetic

Isn't that what Ryton has?

Not been to ours but not sure what your point is Dong. I was just referring back to Petes post about Ryton being basic. I was kind of saying that the majority of them tend to be. Certainly the one's I've been to across Professional football and rugby teams.

I wasn't disagreeing with. I am under the impression that that is how Ryton is set up.
So just wondering why it is deemed as not fit for purpose all of a sudden.

How can they share a school site that is used during the day ?
I'm assuming the plan is still for a joint facility.
They'd need exclusive access and have to put a big fence up or the local kids will be on them when everyone at the club has gone home.

Pretty much what is at Ryton isn't it. How does duplicating Ryton square with Tim talking about better facilities?

Dong/CD, gotcha both now. Yeah, not sure what Rytons like so not sure what somewhere better would look like (or why Timbo is talking about it).

Pretty sure it would work both ways with the school being able to use the pitches and the academy lads being able to use the classrooms for their Btec work

Beg to differ on this one old bean. I've been to Fulham and Bolton and both have loads more space than Ryton. More pitches plus 3G indoor and out. Portacabin classrooms and changing are evident at Bolton (and quite a few other training ground/academies) but do the job nicely. Fulham have been on their site for years but it's got a charm about it (an Art Deco main building if I remember correctly) and is nicely laid out.

Fulhams does have a main Art Deco building, you're right but it's not what I'd expect from such a club. Boltons as well.

Maybe I just had higher expectations.

I have said this before but a tie in with Coventry University would seem most logical with some of the courses they run. Plus they are keen to expand and don't seem to have a problem acquiring land.

Dear Parent

I am delighted to confirm that Finham Park Multi Academy Trust has engaged in discussion with Coventry City FC about the possible relocation of part of their successful Academy facility to our site at Finham Park School on Green Lane. I must emphasise that discussions are at a very early stage, but if progressed, could prove extremely positive for sporting links, provision and activity for all our young people in the City. Any project would not impact on the playing spaces currently used by the school as part of our curriculum and extra-curricular offer to pupils.

Confirmation from Finham Park school that talks have taken place.

Fucking Finham. Great! Bunch of tossers already get the easiest kids in the city and coast to a decent Ofsted with them, now more advantages. Still I suppose there's no space at places like Barrs Hill or Stoke Park.

Stoke Park though, you'd have the forum chippy, KFC and two offy's which would turn plenty of heads if I know lower league football.
Surely the Rose and Crown would appeal?

That must leave you battling for survival in league 2 when it comes to trying to get media clicks.
