Ricoh or Butts ? (1 Viewer)

Assume he was referring to Anderson who tried to draw a line under past actions and start talks only for Wasps to pull out of talks regarding the Ricoh and CSF to pull out of talks regarding HIggs.

Anderson, after he had left, commented that he was looking to take over a club. You could speculate that is why he was here. Had negotiations been successful we might have seen the end of SISU.
I didn't say she should step down she should step away.
What is Dermot Coleman's view on CCFC. We don't know because he stays out of it. Joy should now do the same and allow two new people who can build relationships. However this could only happen in the back of dropping the legal action.
I think now even if the legal action was dropped Wasps and the Council would still struggle dealing with Tim and Joy.
Tim made a comment saying he stepped aside for a bit and that didn't work so he came back.
Am I right in thinking that when he stood aside we came back to the Ricoh then only just missed out on the play offs. Waggot started to build a relationship with Wasps
Then he came back and others left and we are now just about relegated to division 4 and no one is talking to us?

Both Waggot and Anderson seem to be working towards a deal with Wasps or at least in Waggots case a good working relationship.
Both got pushed out.
I even think TF in the early days had a deal agreed with ACL but that got squashed from above.
What ever name Sisu put forward will be a puppet with Joy pulling the strings.
Only TF seems to like his being 'pulled' by Joy.

It's just something that has been passed onto me. They also mentioned names (that I know) but it's pointless expanding on it because and the end of the day, it's just a Chinese whisper.
It does however give me a few clues in guessing what Wasps plan might be.
But at the end of the day its just a guess like most the stuff we discuss on here.

Fair enough, I understand why you don't want to say more and like you said at the moment its just a whisper.

I am sure there was a time when it was all about football....not sure I can remember when that was though;)

If I were CRFC, I would ask CCFC to pay for the redevelopment of The Butts in return for shared ownership (51%-49%) and a slice of the day to day revenues. That way, both parties win. City get a proper home with extra money coming in. CRFC get their ground developed faster and better than they will ever be able to afford.
Any other deal doesn't really make much sense from the CRFC perspective.

I'm not sure if I have said that Wasps don't want CCFC here.
I think they want this settled one way or the other but I would say that they will benefit more from us being at the Ricoh.
I would also suggest CCFC would be better off staying at the Ricoh.
I believe things like Stadium sponsorship is on hold until CCFC are settled. I would also say stadium sponsorship will be more if CCFC are there.
The art is to get a mutually beneficial deal that is a 'win win' for both parties. Sharing stadium sponsorship deals and advertising etc
Also the higher CCFC go up the league the bigger the rent but also the bigger the 'cut'.
I'm hoping the TF rhetoric is just to increase the bargaining position but I see the court case as a block rather than another bargaining chip.

It was more the money side I was referring to, not whether they want us here, but lets face it SISU have hardly made themselves popular!

Why would Wasps allow SISU to play them off for the best rental deal? People like Italia tell us they don't need us as tenants so why would they be bothered.
They also will not enter into negotiations until legal action is dropped, so how exactly can you play off with someone who doesn't want to deal with you.
You forgot to mention that nothing will happen at the Butts either whilst legal action continues.

Its probably easier to name the people SISU are not in legal dispute with, as the list is shorter ;)
I'm just wondering how far out of Coventry we will have to go before someone doesn't insist on all legal action ceasing before serious talks can start on a ground share.

They could have had them many times by buying into ACL (that's what you need to do).
The loan we keep going on about (and to court) is part of the £21M it took to fit out the stadium.
The balance of £14M was taken on by Wasps so in that respect they own all the kit that produces the income.
I sure that if CCFC either buy into them incomes or perhaps invest in other incomes they will have access to those incomes.
Do you see what I'm getting at?
Put simply, CCFC don't have a right to them incomes just because they play there.
At the end of the day if Wasps want us in for their own stability they may need to release some of those incomes.
But it's all subject to negotiation which for a variety of reasons can't happen while the court battles are going on.

As awkward as Grendall being caught in bed with Ann Lucas ?

Never could happen. Dongle and Schmeee would already be occupying the space - I would just be an unfortunate voyeur.

Good news for SISU. Goodison Park will be available soon. They are building a new 300m stadium.

The only thing on SISU agenda is recouping the money lost through JR2, hoping Wasps go bust and they can buy the Ricoh at a bargain.1

If wasps do run into trouble and end up having to surrender the lease at the Ricoh, I wonder
Who will get their hands on it next, y'know when SISU fuck it up again.

The Council will probably champion another local team like the Cornish Pirates Rugby Club or similar, then wheel some halfwit councillor out like Lucas to say its not all about them

Either that, or sell it to someone who actually has the money.

Everton and Liverpool City Council are set to agree the principles of an innovative finance model that will support the Club’s ambition to build an iconic waterfront stadium at Bramley Moore Dock.

The trend is very much for clubs to expand their stadiums. Not many I have heard of who downsize. ;)

Perhaps Sisu could advise them ?
  • How to make more money with a smaller ground.
  • How to only rent a stadium but get access to all the incomes at the stadium your not involved in.
  • How to turn a 3,000 stadium into a 12,000 stadium and then into a 25,000 one, on the same footprint.
  • How to turn a school playground into a category 2 training facility.

wasps should just give ccfc shar eof revenue and we stay on as tenants

they think because they have evil council with them they can bully us
Bully us ? do you mean SISU ?

Given the track record of decision making does anyone actually trust Tim and co to navigate us through a move to the Butts?? Not me!

Leaving Ricoh now could mean no way ever back. If wasps are struggling as people make out is now not the best time to buy back into Ricoh?

They wouldn't hav
Its only 52,000 though.
Luckily they haven't got another high profile team in the city to compete for fans. ;)
They wouldn't have but for a rental dispute around a hundred years ago and thus the birth of Liverpool FC.

Maybe they will be gifted the stadium , a bit like Manchester city or West Ham. On the other hand ccc could help them increase its value from a few million to 50 million in just a couple of weeks.

No way will Sisu ever get the stadium on their own, have they not done enough damage with the football side of things. The best they could hope for is going to the Wasps and putting a fair wedge of money up (something they don't do) and asking for a joint venture. This might be far fetched but they could do with our help to get a good deal on naming rights which will be worth millions. Like i've said before no one will deal with us till we drop the legals.
