With all this talk of opening up Hertford St by removing the Nationwide building, removing the ramp at the top of the precinct and the escalator. How about removing Cathedral lanes and moving the restaurants into the Primark premises with relocating Primark to the old BHS store.
This would open up Broadgate with views to the Cathedral and create a restaurant quarter still in the centre.

Way too much effort.

Plus the BHS store isn't big enough for Primark.
