What fantastic advert for our club today has been. Be it fans who have been with this team throughout the season and fans who just had enough after years and years of downward spiral, all coming together to support the sky blues to show the MASSIVE potential this club has if it's run properly.

Well done and hats off to ALL sky blue fans and well done the sky blue team for making this day that bit more memorable with your efforts today. I , and I suspect a few more are very proud sky blue fans today. This only happens rarely so let's just enjoy it while we can.

Let's hope we get a similar reaction to a far more important game on Saturday.

The next game is away at Sheff Utd on Wednesday.

Could be down by then in all but name if we lose that. Next Saturday's game will then be of no importance at all.

Just seen winning goal on news.
Deserved to win any match, a corker!
Great cross, touch and shot. Instinctive.

We are down sadly. How is the next game more important? Today is a huge smile on our faces but a sad day is looming large. Think you need to cheer up a bit

There is nothing really to be cheerful about. The season has been an abject car crash from start to finish. The vast majority that are dancing around now will never see the team again - unless we get a big game again. The players deserve zero adulation except for a handful.

I can say I agree with you there but hey let's enjoy it while it last.

They did us proud today let's give them credit where it's is due.

Just got in a lift with Eastwood and Edwards from Oxford in the Ibis by the stadium.

Were quite friendly considering, but of course being Earlsdon_Skyblue1, I just asked 'have you been playing sports today?' Only half recognising them in their nice suits...

Bigi was my motm but g thomas a worthy winner

What a goal. Zidane!

Stokes was man of the match by a country mile. Turnball followed him. Robins admitted in the post match interview that we were second best in midfield

I thought bigi was immense today. Stokes abd g thomas both excellent too. Haynes defended well aswell. And burge with bog time saves.

Robins effect! I like it!

Congratulations to the team and a big thanks for giving the faithful something to shout about after a decade of misery.
Well done the players who stuck to it for all 90 minutes some exceptional performances.
Well done to MR who set his stall out brilliantly.
Once the dust settles we are relegated and I hope we keep the players that played today for a league 2 campaign.
If we do then we should come straight back up.
There was plenty of misinformation from commentators or fake news. 60m one said SISU had invested.
One on Football Focus yesterday saying we get no gate receipts? How miss-information rolls around the media even in the world of football.

What happened today is only just sinking in on the drive home. Yes we're all but relegated but we finally have something to cheer and I'm more than happy to take that. We just got a successful day out at Wembley and that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Safe journey home to all the SBA and good luck nursing the sore heads tomorrow! Glad I booked the day off work

A pleasure to meet you sir! Apologies it had to be in the queue for the loo :) and well done for recognising the flag!

And you. Yes it was the flag and the two of you together. Happy drinking tonight and safe journey home whenever you go.

And it's been a fairly successful season for Oxford United, but that didn't stop us beating them in the one big game that mattered. We're now in the record books as the winners and they as two-time losers.

Just got in.

I know people keep saying its a tin pot trophy But its nice to have a bit of rest bite from all the negativity around the club.

Sky Blue army sound amazing. Reid had a great game. Oxford could not handle him. I don't think anyone has a bad game.

I still don't get how oxford did not score on the goal line clearance. But luck was on our side for once!

Today was by far the best game of football between a combined 7 hours of queuing to piss, that I have ever witnessed!
