Anyone else hear on 5 live this morning that the wasps owner is trying to bring rugby league to the Ricoh?

That's CCFC finished then with no ground after next year

Sounds like the talking with Sisu is over?

Fisher has had 5 years to build his white elephant unless a miracle can be done with new owners and relations with the Wasps restored we are homeless

Doubt it would do very well here.
They also play in the summer I believe so maybe trying to fill a gap spare capacity.

Yeah I heard they're looking to franchise an existing league club such as Wakefield

They obviously don't have a problem with shifting franchises around the country, so RL won't be any different.
RL will fail in Cov for one very simple reason........IT'S SHIT!

This has been mentioned a while back I think. It's a summer sport so won't really impact us

£2m made from the checkatrade

Take the money Sisu and disappear

The ticket sales would have to be over £5m for that to happen. The £2m is probably total sales

That has to be divided up between both clubs and a share to the FL
Ticketmaster gets its £5 a ticket out of it
And the VAT man wants his sixth

And that's after the cost of putting on the game is taken out.

Let's just hope our owners have learnt something regarding their negotiating style from the last time. The council were not bluffing then when they gave SISU a deadline to put in their best bid or they were going another direction.
This is going to be the same Wasps will be looking ahead at a life without CCFC at the Ricoh.
If it is our only real option SISU need to stop bluffing offer up the legal action and get round the table. Can't see that happening though.
On the flip side if Wasps are happy they have us replaced maybe when our owners stop suing the council they may support us with the Butts. ( not a bloody 12k stadium though)
