A quick way to save some money for that extra pint. Don't get a £9 return ticket. Use your contact less card on the scanner to enter, then at Wembley scan your card again to validate your journey end. That's £1.50. End of game they open some barriers to help the fans quickly get on their way, so just walk tho, no card. We did this last week at England game. It works. Have a drink on me.
Enjoy.

Work in London, agree use contactless or oyster card if you have one, far cheaper than buying a day ticket.

At end of game, yep barriers will be open but remember the barriers will be closed at the terminating station so you will have to use your card to get out (not sure what you will be charged for this)

Also if you are parking at Stanmore the pay machine that used to dotted around the car park have been removed and new ones installed at the station end. Google Stanmore Car Park for further info, you can pay via web/phone or at the card machines. Make sure you pay as there are cameras on the entrance to the car park.

If Stanmore is full go round the corner to Canons Park.

Parking at Wembley tube station just £1:50 on Sunday but get here early limited spaces. Just parked and only £3:50 from now until Monday morning

I've hired someone's drive for thr day through JustPark not far from Stanmore, a bit more expensive than stanmore car park but means I don't have to rush.

What a cracking place to park. Empty train on the way to Wembley and loads of space on the way back. Half an hour to get out the car park, but I can deal with that.

I noticed Canon Park car park was empty when we went past. Think I'll park there next time.

Parked in a side street in Stanmore, cost me feck all because parking restrictions don't apply on Sundays.
Straight out at 5:30pm, back in Huddersfield for 9:10pm, including a stop for some food. Happy days!

Ickenham worked well for me. A couple of minutes from the A40 at Hillingdon, loads of parking for £1.50 all day (on Sunday), and 20 minutes on the Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park. Far enough out to avoid potential traffic madness.

Went to Beaconsfield, off M40. Good drive down, empty car park, £4.50 all day parking, and easy 25 mins train ride in.

After the game, they had separated the huge mass of fans into four queues at Wembley Stadium Railway Stadium, and the trains to Beaconsfield/Wycombe were the shortest queue, so straight on the first train in and back. Bit busier drive back, but easier after Oxford.
