That offer is understood to have been for significantly more than the £1 the London hedge fund paid for the club in December 2007

Shoot me by all means, but we face a completely different situation now to what we did 10 years ago
I don't give a flying fuck anymore, I just want rid of these Fucking parasites, whatever the outcome.

Totally understand that viewpoint but myself, I would be cautious. Just because we have arseholes at the moment, it cannot be a case of 'out of the frying par, into the fire', however unlikely that may be.

I rather be cautious than be elated that SISU have left, only to discover the Venkys or Oystons have taken over.

Can we assume that the unnamed investors are from either the Chinese or Australian consortium's that have been reported on this week?

In both articles CT said it had approached both for a comment.

Nope...I think you'll find it's Dot Cotton and a pregnant fish.

Well when they reject this offer, we need to make some sort of noise at the Walsall game to try and get them to change their mind during the summer. I don't know what we should do, but we can't all just tut and send passive aggressive tweets

You're missing my point. I get that, but like I've just explained on the post above, I'd urge caution to ensure we don't end up with owners equally inept as SISU.

Pointless other speaking to our owners if they're the f&%king Venkys, right?
Nobody will be worse than Sisu.
One of our problems is that nobody will deal with Sisu and everybody is moving on to other things.
Namely, Higgs Centre, Ricoh, Wasps and more importantly the fans.

So really not anything new in the CT article. Until we know what the offer consists of its impossible to judge.

Isn't this a bit misleading? The sale price is one thing but how much did they pay to settle existing debt? Would expect any new takeover to follow the same form.

They didn't pay that much actual cash to settle debt, did they? They took on certain liabilities that were only going to be paid on achievement of certain milestones! (imagine that)

So Gilbert says Hoffman has made no bid then les Reid says a bid has been made but it's not credible. Then the telegraph claim EXCLUSIVE! with a report about a bid they said never happened? Hmmm great journalism.

If my business was loosing millions every year and my property was worth thousands I would snatch their hands off.
The trick is to work up to an offer they will accept.
If the offer is eventually acceptable, but I was holding onto it for spite, I might not want the aggro of a load of phone calls.

Never said my business was a success, but for info, my business (childrens riding school) continues thanks to the car parking.

But the problem is they are no longer losing millions per year, they just want to recoup a lot of what they have invested. You, I and everyone knows they wont get it, but that is the problem, and until they are offered money to cover some (if not most) of these losses then we are stuck with them.

Not sure what you are referring to re the property being worth thousands...are you advocating they sell the training ground and then go? I would prefer the club to have a training ground, but if that means they go then brilliant, but we need new owners to sort another one out promptly.

I don't think they will hold on for spite, she is a just a hard nosed bitch, and its the cold hard cash that does the talking, not sentiment. She has an offer that meets her valuation, she will go, spite I don't think plays a part. I have met a few extremely wealthy people in my life, loaded beyond anyone's wildest dreams, and they were all utter cold bastards without sentiment, and that is why they were so rich, no emotion, no spite. That's Joy.

Re you business, it wasn't a dig I genuinely felt you had made some comments to its success, but if I am wrong then apologies, but the fact it keeps the Children's Riding stables going, is good on you.

What "Link" or "Proof" do you need... You never believed Italia, and you've been proven to be wrong. Grow a pair and apologize to him... Somehow I don't think you've got the bollocks though!

Like I said, show me where?

I am always happy to admit it.

So if the offer was made last weekend and the club statement today says it isn't credible for SISU its a non starter surely. Some will say its the start of negotiations but is it? The club statement is actually quite scathing of the bid if you read it. As too is the content from Reid

The club statement was to get their story out in public first. They and Reid knew this was coming out. Can't help thinking the CT announcement actually doesn't help when dealing with the hermit that is Joy Seppala, she expects things to be private and it is her that has to be persuaded

Does make me think we are back to where we were 5 years ago doing everything (and nothing ) in the press hoping fans pressure will make the difference to an offer that hasn't tempted SISU :banghead::banghead::banghead:

it does however put to bed this myth that there is no one interested

other than that not sure what to make of it

What ChiefDave said.

And whilst you might be right about no one being worse than SISU, there's a chance that others could be as bad as them. After the transition from previous to SISU, I simply cannot see what some wouldn't be cautious about new owners.

Desperation shouldn't be an excuse for open arms without caution.

Pretty much. I'd say it's a bit of a PR game.

The way Italia is trying to get people fired up and angry from the off and it being just before the last game where there's talk of getting the game abandoned it's hard to think otherwise just yet.

Thus proving they know absolutely nothing about this when some fans already knew all along.
