Really excited for today, my 8yo lad is Mascot today. We're at the ricoh for 12.45 for a tour of the ground and then into the changing rooms with the players.
On the pitch at 2.15 for a kick around with sky blu Sam and the other mascots!
Think I'm more excited than he is
Been up since 8sm. Spent all week preparing his kit, cleaning his boots, been and had his (ben stevenson style) hair cut!!
Anybody else on here done this before?

Fantastic day. We both loved it. He chose to walk out with Jodi and met the whole team pre match too. He got his Wembley programme signed and got to have a snoop around an executive box. He now wants to do that for his birthday next season

I was a mascot in the late 80's against Chelsea and it was a bit shit didn't really meet the players, slipped on the pitch when doing the warm up and then missed the only goal of the game while getting changed, got Martin Jols autograph amongst others.

Yes they were all great! Didn't get to meet MR as he'd just received the Walsall team sheet and was locked away in his office doing whatever managers do!
Walked into the changing rooms at around 1.15pm (ish) players arriving/getting ready, and noticed the board up with the starting 11 and tactics on it etc, turned to take a photo of my lad and GT and by the time I turned back it had quickly been removed
The players weren't very talkative unless spoken to with the exception of Tudders, he asked how the kids were and if they were enjoying the day etc. All were happy enough to sign autographs and have pics taken. Not sure who's choice of music it was but couldn't understand a word of what was said in it! (Feeling old at 32 )!
I asked Folivi who the pic of the 'white guy' was next to his name in the Wembley programme!? He shook his head and said you'll have to ask the media team what that was all about

Tudgay always had time for the kids at parties and family zone. I doubt many of the players actually have kids themselves

Carl Baker was always very good with the kids too. I remember how nice he was at one of the JSB parties.
